Gardenias - They were the flowers in Sue's wedding bouquet. Such a delicate and sweet smelling flower. And the gardenias were nice too.
My second choice would be lilacs. We have a hedgerow of lilac bushes that we planted when we first moved into our home in 1986. They provide us with a wonderful perfume in the spring when they blossom.
Mine are carnations. They have such a beautiful scent. Second favorite would have to be lilacs. We had a few bushes in the backyard until husband yanked them out to put an old Italian white fountain in. Ditch the fountain and gimme my lilacs back!!
Those of you who love lilacs should go to Mackinac Island for their Lilac Festival. *sigh*
The whole island is a'bloom and instead of smelling the horse droppings ya smell lots and lots of lilac!!!
Favorite!!??!! You mean I can only pick one? *LOL* No way! I love my snowdrop but then I love the smell of the Lilacs and of course then there's my Lily Of the Valley. And I just planted some Freesias that are supposed to smell great and peacock orchids and of course then there's the lil Dutch Iris. But of course there's my aunt's Peonies........ I can't pick just one.
