What is your favorite Disney memory?

I have two that I have to tell you about. One is for me and the other is for a friend of mine that is not a member of the disboards.
My friend was on a Disney Cruise right around Halloween with his DW and kids. Well, his son wanted to change costumes about 5 times a day while aboard the ship. One of the times, right after he changed into his Peter Pan costume, as he was walking down the corridor, they ran into Captain Hook. So you have this big Captain Hook and this little Peter Pan and Captain Hook acts like he puts up his sword. So the kid does the same thing and they have a little sword fight there in the hallway, totally unscripted but very Disneyesque.
Mine would have to be a mixture of different things. Such as, the first time I rode Soarin. The first time I saw Fantasmic (they had a quartet group of guys out there before the show started singing a lot of doo-wop songs and I sang right along with them.). And the first time I took my DW and DK's to Disney. Nothing really compares to seeing their faces when they looked at the Castle and saw Mickey. I still think about that.

I'm 39 years old. I've been to WDW 4 times, once as a child. My favorite memory is when I was 5 years old, August of 1972, somewhere in MK, Chip and Dale tickled me and I couldn't escape them! I was knocking into empty tables and chairs, pretty much wrecking the place, but they were relentless and I was unsuccessfully running away and laughing my pants off.

watching my 7 year old son, skipping through the Football courtyard at All Star Sports in his Sorsiser (sp?) Mickey hat, just as happy as he could be that he was at Disney :)

These are all fabulous memories. Isn't it great that we have a place to go that is so magical for us all!

I have another great memory of my ds who was 4 at the time, we were at Hoop De Doo and the part of the show when the singers walk around and talk to different guests, well, we were in the balcony and the one very pretty girl came upstairs and gave my son a kiss on the cheek. My 1 1/2 year old loved the show as well, he was smiling and clapping along with the music. Also my 7 year old thought the show was hysterical, he was laughing so much, it was so nice to see him sooo happy.

Hours before the Main St. Electrical Light Parade my extended family and I would always camp out on a great curb spot - the same one for 20 years - and then during the parade one night, Pete's Dragon swung over by us and blew smoke right on top of my grandpa's bald head - I have no idea, but as a young girl I thought that was about the coolest thing I'd ever seen - I miss that parade!
