DH and I are going in early March for last trip alone to WDW (next time we'll take our DS2!!!!). In order to go, we had to cut out a few things to make the trip more affordale than our last one (which was also our honeymoon). One of the things we're cutting is eating a TS meal every night. We're only going to do 1 per park and then 1 at City Walk. We'll be there for a total of 9 days, 8 nights with an 8 day park hopper. In order to help us choose some of the best CS meals, we decided to come ask the pros! What are your favorite counter service meals at each park?

Magic Kingdom - We love Casey's Corner. The hot dogs and french fries are great. We like sitting outside when the piano player is there and just people-watch.

I don't feel qualified to answer for every park but I would reccommend

Sunshine Seasons at Epcot - Great selection and food is awesome! If you want something more filling than a burger you can get something hearty like rotisserie chicken or stir fry or even pork chops.

MK - We love Columbia Harbor House

Its our tradition every year to have at least one lunch at 'Cosmic Rays' in TL. Its not the best food, but our kids love the alien show while you eat. They do have some of the biggest selection in MK. :thumbsup2

MK--Columbia Harbor House is great! Very yummy soups and sandwiches. I had a humus sandwich there that was delicious. We also like Cosmic Ray's for both the fixin's bar and the entertainment.

Epcot--Sunshine Seasons is really good. I've had salmon there that was very tasty and their Butterfinger cheesecake is YUMMY. Also, we like to stop all over in the WS--the Mexican Cantina is a favorite, as is a stop for crepes in France. Also the Tangierine Cafe in Morocco is very good with huge portions.

MGM--Eh, I'm not so impressed with the counter service here. We usually go to the ABC Cafeteria which can be hit or miss. We like it because it usually has something different than the usual fast food--DH had curry there on our last trip which he really enjoyed.

AK--Well, we loved the Tusker House but I'm thinking I've read it's closed now which is too sad for me. We stopped at Pizzafari once and it was WAY too crowded and the food wasn't all that great.

I was just reading over some things about Casey's Corner and it sounded like fun.

I've heard awesome things about Columia Harbor House, and the stir fry my DH will love at Sunshine Seasons.

I love Cosmic Rays. I was able to get what I wanted while DH got what he wanted. It was big which in turn made it nice to sit for a while and not run, run, run.

Flame Tree BBQ at AK is our fav. Great food and portion size, and a nice view sitting on the deck overlooking the water and Everest.

At the MK we like Casey's Corner for a Hot Dog and Pecos Bill's for a Hamburger.

at AK Pizzafari has lousy pizza but a great hot italian sub style yummy sandwich,,,,,,,,,,we always get one sandwich and one caesar salad and share them between DH and me,,,,,,,,,,,yum

This is fabulous! I have read so much about table service restaurants, but almost nothing about counter service....

Keep 'em coming! I'm learning a lot here!

MK:
Columbia Harbour House (eating upstairs) and Pecos Bill for the fixings bar

Epcot:
Yakatori House in Japan and Tangerine Cafe in Morocco.

MGM:
No great choices. We usually do the outdoor market on Sunset Blvd.

DTD:
Wolfgang Puck Express. We love the Pizza.

I agree there are no great places at MGM, but I've always had a great experience with the Toy Story Pizza. Nothing bad to be exact.

MK - Columbia Harbour House
Epcot - Sunshine Seasons
AK - Flametree or Pizzafari, but I want to try Yak and Yeti CS in July...
MGM - Backlot Express (good burgers, but better grilled turkey and cheese w/roasted red peppers)

My all time favorite CS at DW is Wolfgang Puck Express at DTD. They have great food, fresh, hot and full of flavor. You won't miss TS there!!

I love Columbia Harbor House!! While at MK that is the only counter service place we eat.

Magic Kingdom CHH
AK Flametree BBQ
MGM Nothing
Epcot .....where to begin UK, Morocco, and France are the top three.

MK - Columbia Harbour House (for the chowda!), Casey's (for the dog & fries...it's tradition!), Peco's Bill (for the fixins)

Epcot - Yakitori House in Japan

AK - Flame Tree BBQ (but I'm hoping that Y&Y will be my new fave)

MGM - nothing unfortunately :sad2:

Tusker House was always our favorite. Y&Y will have some big shoes to fill for CS.

We will definitely will be going to CHH upon everyone's recommendation. We'll be spending about 2 days at each park give or take. So I still have plenty to decide upon :)
