What is your Favorite Character Interaction/Photo?

We have so many over the years! Our very first was on our first cruise when DD was 3 months old. We went to pick her up at the nursery and we saw Tiana sitting on the floor with her in her lap. It just made us so happy.

When DD was 2, we went to see Captain Hook and Mr. Smee. She was dressed as Tinkerbell, and Hook was furious. He threatened to get me with his hook. I apologized, and told him to wait. We returned shortly with DD in her pirate outfit and he was very happy and kissed my hand.

When DD was 3 Lilo and Stitch were out. She had no idea who either of them were, but she saw a cute girl and approached Lilo for a hug. Stitch did not like this at all and proceeded to throw himself on the floor, and lie there kicking his feet and pounding the floor with his hands. DD just stared at him with her mouth open. She had no idea what was going on.

DS has a Pac Man suit that he wears for formal night. He has been able to wear it for a few cruises without growing out of it. All of the characters really love it, but Donald the most. He runs up and does the hand motion for the munching Pac Men...so cute!

When I met Tinkerbell she told me I look like a pirate, and I smell like codfish! She was correct on at least one count...

I thought it might be fun to do a thread about characters (my absolute favorite Disney topic). I am currently a DCL performer and have worked as a performer at WDW.
What is your favorite character memory/interaction/magical moment?

Well. The Royal Gathering on the Wish was pretty great because I love one on one time with the face characters to chat briefly before I am shuffled along. All of my most memorable character interactions (as a whole) have been with Tiana talking about cajun cuisine, and Rapunzel talking about our mutual love for Pascal.

One of my friend Cinderella’s favorite things to do is spend time with the babies in the Nursery 😍

Thank you all so much for sharing your character stories! These have really made my day! Keep them coming!
I’ll share a few of my own soon as well 🥰

Maybe we’ll see you in our cruise this Nov or maybe even our B2B2B next Nov! Keeping my hopes up! My Mom and I generally don’t take up the space at character meets so the kids get the most, having you on this makes me want to be a little more selfish!
I hope so!
Characters are not just for kids. If there is someone you want to meet and chat to, get in line. It definitely isn’t selfish for adults to meet characters. In fact, there are some Guests I have met over and over again who say that this is what helps through times of adversity

We will keep that more in mind this upcoming cruise, but I was very blessed and very fortunate to have visited WDW a lot growing up, so I don’t mind enjoying from afar for the kids! :)

It is my friend Cindy yes. She says thank you very much for the sweet compliment!
I estimate that I’ve seen Cinderella over a thousand times during my years as a CM at WDW. I think that qualifies me an excellent Cinderella observer and based on that photo I agree with the previous poster.

Having said that I’m having a tough time picturing you as a friend of Smee.

Haha I don’t get to hang out with Smee as often as I would like, but it is fun when I do!

My kids loved meeting the Marvel characters on Magic earlier this year. They wore NASA shirts most of the time and the characters would always ask how they liked traveling in space and things like that. It's fun when they talk to you like that. My oldest was a little bummed when Mulan didn't seem to understand 'hello' in Mandarin Chinese (my kids learn Chinese in school), but we hadn't really expected it ... no big deal. It's always fun when we're just wandering around the ship and a character comes out from somewhere and is able to stop for a quick picture.
