What is your Favorite Character Interaction/Photo?

Being a klutz, I always felt Goofy as a kindred spirit. Last time on the Wonder when Goofy was out, the kids were in club but I decided to stand in line for me anyway. I don't even remember the conversation but somehow Goofy had me doing the Cha Cha and twirling me and then I was suppose to turn to pose for the picture but was so lost in the moment I went the wrong way. The CM said, "she's goofier than you, Goofy!" I just about died I was laughing so hard. It was priceless!

I love when adults have fun with the characters. It is just as exciting for the character to have these types of interactions with adults as it is to meet adoring children!

One night on the Fantasy, I saw Captain Hook and Smee ready to take some pics. So I got in line for my first-ever cruise character pic and then politely informed the Captain I only wanted one with his first mate, who's always been a favorite. Well, I didn't take into account Hook's ego and he stomped off - completely. I stood there astonished, with a whole bunch of other cruisers wondering what I had done. It still makes me smile (although maybe not so true for the passengers who wanted Hook's pic!)

And at WDW, I once went to a reception for my company where Chip 'n Dale were in one corner available for pics. It wasn't really the crowd for it, so I think they stood there for ages with no one. I happened to glance over right as they noticed me, and they began waving and jumping and being generally adorable, so of course I had to go over. They proceeded to fight over who got to take the first pic and hold my arm and just made me laugh so much - aka best part of the night for me.
Such fun! What great memories

My favorite on a cruise was on the Magic in Jan. 2020 at Rapunzel’s Royal Table. Punzie came over to our table and asked if we were enjoying ourselves. I said, “Yes, but I’m not sure what we’re celebrating.” She says “it’s my birthday!” and I immediately responded “no, no, no, can’t be. I distinctly remember, your birthday was last year.” and she quickly followed up with “that’s the funny thing about birthdays, they’re kind of an annual thing!”

Getting to play out that scene on the ship has been one of the highlights of all my cruise adventures.

I 💜 this!!

My favorites were Moana on Wish and last interaction with Spider-Man on Wish because I found out who was playing Spider-Man and we are friends from me meeting him on Fantasy in 2019.IMG_4379.jpegIMG_4380.jpegIMG_4840.jpegIMG_4841.jpeg

I have to agree with previous posts- Chip and Dale are favorites. We had a fun interaction with Captain Jack one cruise. I had on a top that had beading at the top. He thought it was treasure and was going to kidnap me-LOL. Sleeping walking Goofy-if you ever see it- just hilarious

In March on the Dream my daughter and I were overlooking the atrium on Deck 4 listening to the duo musicians play pop songs. Daisy was on deck 5 after a meet n greet and she and her CM handler started to dance. DD and I started our own interpretive dance as well and pretty soon Daisy noticed us and started a dance off. Then the CM pointed at us and made a stay motion. They left and a few minutes later we got a tap on the shoulder and there was Daisy. CM said they had to come down to tell DD9 what great dance moves she had! So cool she made a special visit just to see us!

Same cruise DD told Captain Jack on pirate night that she was taking over the Black Pearl. They argued about it for a minute and it sounded like 2 toddlers fighting. It’s mine! You can’t have it! Watch me! No! Yes! No ! Yes!

I’m a Goofy lover too. I am an adult and cruise with my Mom and so we don’t get in the character lines so the children have more time, but we are okay with that because we usually have great luck finding Goofy walking around where the shuffle board things are/the walking path where the super comfy loungers are and he always takes a moment to lounge beside us on one of the nice loungers! That is great enough for us! I too feel a kindred spirit to Goofy as I am a very tall lady and most characters must be on the shorter spectrum! It has always been a running joke that the only “princess” I could be was Maleficent because of my height. And it isn’t wrong. I have it on good authority that they look to cast exceptionally tall women for that role! :)

Lol my favourite is also Hook, I had dressed exactly like Smee, down to my gold specs and brown sandals and Hook pointed at me and indicated that I smelt just as bad as Mr Smee too! So as I joke I said “well you smell like a codfish!” Hook stared me down and I stared back, and then when we took the photo, Hook put his arm up in front of my face to block me. It’s actually my favourite picture, Mr Smee holding my arm to protect me and I’m peeping round Hook’s arm laughing! pirate:

My absolute favorite character interaction didn't actually involve me. On the EBTA my son and I found a favorite spot on deck 4 near where the character photos are taken and learned when the characters don't have a line, they can get themselves in a lot of trouble. Pluto kept trying to open the the blinds on the window and kept stealing the little clip they used to keep it closed and trying to keep it away from the character handler. Then he kept making the performer in front of the MDR laugh from above. Hook and Smee did the same thing, totally messing with the character handler and the photographer. I loved watching them have fun even when they were alone.

Also, there was apparently a marvel photo op in d lounge and I just happened to duck in for a napkin or trash or something (I wasn't originally there to take a photo). It was Captain America and Spider Man and their handler and a photographer. They were all chatting because (again) no one was around and they were talking about New York and I mentioned I was from NY, too. Turns out Spiderman knew exactly where I was from, started talking about the train to get to where I live and a good pizza place near me and Cap knew a little bit and it was a nice conversation and then I left the room and realized I'd just been having a conversation with super heroes, lol.

Your daughter sounds delightful! I hope Cinderella has the chance to meet her next time you cruise! I am glad she had such memorable character experiences

We just got off the Magic on Saturday and had the best experience with Rapunzel! It was just my husband and I (left the kids home this trip). We saw there was almost no line to meet Rapunzel so we jumped in. *Backstory, Tangled is probably my favorite Disney movie and at our wedding I walked down the aisle to a beautiful instrumental version of I See The Light and since our wedding was Disney themed we had a Tangled themed table with a lantern etc. * We met Rapunzel and she was probably the sweetest character we have ever met! We told her about her connection to us and also that we would be eating in her restaurant that evening and that we would be celebrating our birthdays as well (the cruise was a birthday gift to my husband back in May and my birthday was the week prior) and she said she was excited to celebrate with us. It was an amazing interaction for sure. Fast forward to dinner that night and when Rapunzel was making her rounds she made her way to our table and remembered us and asked how we were enjoying our evening so far. She chatted for a few more minutes and moved on, but it was so crazy that she remembered us! We saw her one last time that night when they had the See You Real Soon event in the lobby so we made sure we went to her again and she was once again excited to see us and asked us about the dinner show and which part was our favorite, but guessed it was the lantern part since it was part of our wedding. She was seriously amazing! I made sure to mention her in our comment card.

It really is those spontaneous interactions that characters love as well!
Haha, yes correct about Maleficent!

I love how much you love Rapunzel! She is a very good friend of mine as well. I am so happy you have these magical memories with her 🥰

How fun!
People are always curious about Rapunzel’s hair. My friend used to get asked about it all the time!
Years ago, Rapunzel told my daughter that the secret to her beautiful hair was that she did not brush it. 🤣 My daughter still uses this line when she “forgets” to brush her hair.

I know from experience that Rapunzel has A LOT of hair and it takes a lot of effort and a long time to brush! She definitely doesn’t have as much time to brush it now she is not in the tower 😂
