What is your favorate specific location in DVC?

The gazebo at SSR.

Sitting on the balcony at SSR (Congress Park) in the morning or evening, looking at DTD across the lake, watching the ducks go by, and drinking either coffee or wine (depending on the time of day).

Sitting in rocking chairs on the big porch at BWV watching a storm... amazing and beautiful view!

We often arrive at MCO late on Saturday evening (from the UK) and with a 5-hour time difference, find it very easy to be up really early on Sunday morning, so ..........

I just love the low-lying mist around Community Drive and going over the small bridge before the entrance to OKW, looking at the Spanish moss hanging from the trees. Then, checking in (before 7 am) and walking around HH, knowing 'I'm back' and watch the resort come to life. Aaaah :cloud9:

This thread makes it occur to me that those non-DVC people don't know what they are missing! They can only enjoy the park specifics but we have a "home" to come back to and enjoy over and over again!

BWV-the pool or being on the Boardwalk really early in the morning.

BCV-the pool or the Solarium

SSR-without a doubt the Spa

I enjoy eating the fish & chips outside The Rose & Crown at Epcot, washing it down with a Bass or Harp Ale. Especially like doing this when staying at BCV.

I forgot that one, make mine a Guiness and I'll join you!!!

BWV - boardwalk view room and watching Illuminations from the balcony. Activity on the boardwalk at night, it's like a carnival.

OKW - sitting on porch early in the morning and watching the rabbits & ducks (this was a favorite of my late mom).

Sitting and relaxing on the huge balcony at OKW.
Watching the animals from our balcony at AKV.

Exactly. I think that I have as much fun at these great resorts as I do at the parks. They are all so beautiful.

I just love all the different places in this thread, I want to experience them all. For most of us, we have been to many of these places and can remember how it felt.

I like eating there also! My husband and I ate there the first time we went to WDW alone...a fond memory. I think my favorite though is quite simple. I love sitting on the balcony, at BWV or BCV, having coffee just as the sun is rising. And I'm not a morning person! There's just something to the simple joy of watching the "World" come alive. I haven't stayed at AK, but I imagine it's pretty special there too.

Aah yes! I can't wait to experience that "home" feeling. Some people just don't understand what going to Disney means to me. It's much more than the parks. Where I stay is a significant part of my vacation.

Being peoplewatchers - we like the balconies of the oceanview Inn rooms at VB - getting a view of the seashore while watching others hustle by. :cool2:

While we're very fond of the balconies at OKW, the porches at HH with rockers and the fishing pier over the marsh, the balcony of the Green Cabin room at Vero, we realized how much one spot at OKW means to our family.

Several times over the past few years we have gone to OKW over New Years. The parks are really fun on New Years Eve Day but very crowded. Our children were younger, so we would leave the parks around 9 and go back to our villa. Around 11:30 we would head for the bridge over Trumbo Canal up by the HH. From there you can see fireworks from several locations all going off... there are usually other revelers there and outside of the Gurgling Suitcase.

My now teenage sons still like to leave the parks early and go back to that spot. We realized what a connection we had made when one of them read about it in Sports Illustrated. He came to me all excited about how some big-deal college recruiting prospect said in an interview that he had proposed to his fiance on that very bridge!

And the often surly teenager that came to me wide eyed and excited about that story reminded me of a little boy I first took to that bridge several years ago....

I have to say that I'm partial to the Carolwood Pacific Room at VWL! :thumbsup2

Sitting in the hot tub at Congress Park after a long, hot day in the Parks and enjoying the sights and sounds of Downtown Disney without being among the crowds!
Especially nice in the early morning hours too, prior to the start of another busy day.

1. Love sitting on the balcony of a boardwalk view room, sipping some spirits, people-watching and seeing the fireworks.

2. Sitting in the rocking chairs on the porch just outside the BWV lobby (actually fell asleep in one in Aug. while killing time waiting to go to airport.)

3. The spa at SSR (can't wait to get another hydrotherapy massage)

4. The arcade at WL (Love the Pac-Man/Galaga machine!)

5. Walking around the frounds at SSR, just taking a leisurely stroll.

6. No matter which DVC I stay at, going to DtD and getting a chocolate shake from Ghirardelli's!

Walking through the lobby of VWL, mocha in hand, on my way to check out the beach on Bay Lake!

I love being in Wilderness Lodge and just relaxing. The lodge is amazing and it's well worth it to stop and look around for a while.

I also love the Carolwood Pacific Room. It make me feel close to Walt, the man.

Since I'm a dedicated WLV groupie my favorites tend to be there.

1) Standing right at the doors of the main lobby. No matter how many times I walk in, the sheer size of the lobby is breathe taking.

2) On the boat going from WL to the MK. Right when it makes that turn around the bend and you get the glorious view of the Grand Floridian.

3) Lastly, in the big leather chair in the WL lobby right around 6:00 am. It is so peaceful. I have a cup of coffee and read the newspaper. It's fun watching the lobby come alive as people start their day.

Ah yes, the wonderful Carolwood Pacific Room at our beloved Villas at WL.:goodvibes
I had a very magical evening with friends in the hot tub (WL) and being able to view some fireworks from MK- glorious!

Gotta be the lobby at the Wilderness Lodge! It's awe-inspiringly large, but the various nooks and crannies make it also feel intimate and personal. :thumbsup2
