Option of walk or boat to/from Epcot and MGM can't be beat!

Though I would like to try the BCV for the shorter walk to Epcot, and OKW for the larger units and quieter location, and VWL for the atmosphere, and SSR for the pool, and HH and VB for their special locations....

I think the results should be somewhat adjusted for the size of the resort. I do believe people here will tend to be bias toward their home resort, so an adjustment may compensate for that. In fact, you can see the poll shaping up according to resort size.

I chose BWV. We own at BCV and BWV and love them both, but BWV has the edge. We love everything about it. We have stayed at BCV and VWL and we always have to go to BWV and visit.

OKW

P.S. Does anybody have an idea which resort Rich will vote for.

Was only one offered when we bought.I like it for the great themeing and it is so quiet and peaceful. The rooms are so huge helps also.:goodvibes ::yes:: :wave2:

I like BWV...why I can't say for sure I just do..its an emotional decision not purely a logical one. I really like WLV to.

I know we're only supposed to pick one, but -- OKW is my favorite most of the time. It's our home resort. In the summer we bring our whole family (11) to WDW and we always stay at OKW. We all love the size of the villas, the laid back atmosphere, the theming. But when my husband and I come by ourselves in the fall, BW is our favorite. So close to everything, so much to do on the Boardwalk itself.

One's first love often has emotional endurance. VWL gets my vote. :)

BWV - our first home resort. I'd love to try VWL but don't have enough points for the time we need to book at 11 months.

It would have to be my home resort - Hilton Head! I love the spaciousness of the 1 and 2 bedroom villas, the fact that we can drive there and not have to pay for plane tix and a rental car or towncar service and those pesky park tickets.

But our favorite on-site DVC resort is OKW. For many of the same reasons that we love Hilton Head. The spaciousness of the villas and the quiet and laid back feel. I also like the fact that the studios have the 2 queen bed set up and of course those low points are a plus too. I think the bus service is just fine and I like the main pool area and the sit down restaurant. When I think of on-site DVC, I automatically think of OKW. But I can see how the resort of choice would depend on the objectives of that particular trip. If it's just DH and me, then I could see us staying in a studio at BCV or BWV but if we are traveling with family then I would want the spacious layout and the lower points of OKW. I just wish there was a DVC on the monorail line. That would definitely get my vote!

BCV is my vote, Location to EPCOT, MGM and Boardwalk.

Very short walk to EPCOT
Easy boat taxi to MGM
SAB pool, the kids have a great time

The location is such that we have sent the grand kids out on their own to Epcot and MGM for fast passes for the entire family and to walk the parks, a little independence. The Kids ages are 15, 14, 12, 10, 4. all but the 4 year have made trips into Epcot, MGM and the Boardwalk on their own. They also like going over to ESPN to watch game or get snacks.

Cape May Cafe is one of our favorites. Our entire family is big on seafood and this fits right in.

We have tried BWV (2nd choice), and OKW but BCV is the one place we all enjoy. The kids do not want to go anyplace else but we will need to try VWL.

Villas at Wilderness Lodge for sure. It's so natural, quiet, relaxing. I've heard people saying the "themeing" at OKW..I don't get that...it just looks like any stereotypical florida condo IMO. I think a theme resort is something you would not expect to see in a florida resort, not more pastel and palm trees. NOt knocking the resort I just don't get the "themeing" comments. All the resorts have fantastic features and the best thing about being in the DVC is you can try them all out!!

I voted for BCV, even though we own at BWV also. While my kids are small(er), SAB is a big deal for them. I also like the quiet, more "remote" location of the villas. I like being able to walk quickly to Epcot.
Ask again in 10 years or so, when my kids are older. I'll probably tell you then that my favorite is BWV for all the wonderful entertainment right outside the door.

BEACH CLUB VILLAS!

This is our favorite. In fact, even before BCV, our favorite WDW resort was BC. We love spending the entire day at SAB. It's relaxing yet there is lots of activity going on.

I don't think we need to normalize the data, as has been suggested, based on resort size -- let's not forget that many of us bought "whatever was being offered at the time", regardless of our "favorite"! We LOVED OKW and would have bought it, but all that was offered was BWV. We liked BWV, so it didn't hinder us in our purchase (I do confess, however -- dh is from Delware / NJ area, and from the very first time he ever took me to the shore there -- ugh. I'm a Carolinas beach girl. The boardwalk doesn't do much for me. Or at least, not the Rehoboth and Atlantic city versions!) Our first stay as DVC owners was actually back to OKW! And it was on that trip that we saw it... VWL. It had just opened so we went to look around. Oh how dh and I just loved it! We each wondered if we should have held out for it instead of buying BWV. And then DH saw BCV. Now THAT's his love. I, on the other hand, confess i'm a mtns and tranquility kind of girl. THe bright beachy scene is good -- but not wholly me. As someone else pointed out, I marvel at Disney's ability to put something where it shouldn't be (i.e. a mountain lodge in FLorida!) Now THAT's themeing!! It honestly feels 5 degrees cooler there, even in August! Its proximity to MK, the activities available (water craft, Ft Wilderness, quick boat to COntemporary), its views (I love the bay!), the critters (otters and ducks and you name it...), the food, the music they play, THAT LODGE, the excellent pool and the way the waterfall just takes you to it... ALL of it!

It's true about the first love. We plan to stay in every resort, but I somehow have a feeling my heart will keep coming back to VWL! Wonder if DH will stay with me, or head back to SAB/BCV...

(Ummm, just in case you couldn't tell, I voted VWL...) :)

I voted VWL: I like the themeing, the quiet, the music they play, etc, etc, etc.

We've now stayed at VWL, BCV, and OKW and they all have their pluses and minuses and picking a favorite is hard, but I still voted VWL for the above reasons.
