What is your Disney shameful secret?

oh i do that as well :rotfl2:

me too :lmao: we have been really lucky to have had some great stays since we bought the DVC, and hope to go twice this year once with the ciggie money, but I have often sat and wondered :lmao::lmao:

edited to add that I realised I was mistaken, our stays before DVC were wonderful too, we had one of the best times ever at All Star Music

I dont see what is so great about soarin

I think the Contemporary and bay lake towers are ugly

I could also easily spend all day in WSC

I can't understand pin trading seems a waist of time to me

Family of four each with a large back pack :S

I often sit and wonder what you all do for a living when I see your tickers and for those staying in deluxe resorts and flying PE or UC. I have to admit I get quite envious - but not in a bad way IYKWIM :flower3:

Im the same too, esp when people go every year. Sometimes they get upset when they cant take their yearly trip to WDW. it takes us more than a year to save for the holiday! im so jealous :rotfl:

Nope, just couldn't.

I have a mega hotel phobia. Ask Jack, before we go anywhere I have to know exactly what my room will be like, what the lobby is like, where it is, read as many reviews as possible, know it's safe and not noisy etc.

I just couldn't look forward to my trip staying somewhere that people have told me bad things about.

Also for me at least 50% of the joy of going away is staying in a wonderful hotel. I am very much not part of the "it's only somwhere to sleep" camp.

I think it's my parents doing as they won't stay anywhere not 5* lol.

I understand what you mean by value

but still its disney surely they arent going to be bad rooms? Im just asking as I have never looked into these rooms before

Personaly I love the location of SSR as I love DTD and would sleep there if I could and this is the nearest thing lol

I hated the GF before I went last October and since visiting it (seeing if I wasn't being rash) I can't stand it even more. I think it's ugly and I wouldn't stay there if I was paid to.

I went to rope drop once and it didn't make any difference to queue lengths so I won't be doing it again.

I haven't tried a dole whip.

I love Space Mountain.

I'm not fussed about the live shows,

I love disney transport, all of it.

There are loads and I'll probably be posting more on this thread! lol

I would love to take my DD to the GF for a few nights, though I now am finding it hard to want to stay anywhere but AKL.

Yes it is isn't it ;). Thank you for your support. :thumbsup2

This one is a bit of a confession. When we went in February last year we got our APs for the first time. After a couple of days we went into the Disney shop at DTD and were told that AP holders were being given a free gift a day, each time they presented their APs at guest relations.
We went and got ours - which was a lanyard with 2 free pins attached. As we had 2 APs we got 4 pins each day. Only I never restricted myself to one visit per day I'm ashamed to say. :rolleyes1
It became a bit of a challenge as to how many I could get a day - even resorting to sending the kids up, once in their jackets and once without hoping that they wouldn't be noticed. We were even stopping off on the way home from the parks to get some - it all got to be a bit of an obsession. Needless to say I ended up saving a lot of $$s as I was saving about $6 for each pin I got free - and I got a few. I am very very sorry :guilty:

Sorry Kenny but I found this absolutely hilarious. Know I shouldn't laugh at you baring your soul and looking for retribution ;) but sending your kids in, with and without coats is absolutely priceless :lmao: I will be thinking of this all week, you have cheered me up no end!

Another one I've thought of:

I've actually dozed off briefly on a couple of rides when I've been tired after a long day - Pirates (both Paris and California) and Nemo Submarines (California) spring to mind as culprits for this.

I have never seen the entire Muppets 3D show, have fallen asleep in there on three seperate visits!

Ok here goes:

I cry when I leave MK for the last time

Me too, I can barely swallow for the lump in my throat, and I basically walk backwards til we are out of the turnstiles.

Great thread.

oh i do that as well :rotfl2:

Oh yeah, and me too. Perhaps that should be another thread! :surfweb:

Thought of a few more:

I really don't like Soarin' at all.

I was born without a 'Hidden-Mickey-spotting' gene, I cannot see them even when they are pointed out to me, much as I would love to. To compensate for this I have Hidden Mickeys formed out of candles, ornaments etc dotted around my house just to make me feel better! :headache:

I find Kilamanjaro Safaris at AK boring, if I wanted to go to safari park I'd stay at home and go to Woburn. ;)

I really want to meet Ariel, Aurora and Belle but I'm too afraid of the face characters as I wouldn't know what to do or say! :confused3

I actually sort of prefer DLP to MK.

I didn't really like WDW when I was first taken as I was at 'the age of not believing, when all the make believe is through' and regret not enjoying it more and at least looking happy in the pictures!

I really like a lot of the 'lame' rides such as IASW, Ellen's Energy Adventure, etc

I like CoP - its a great big beautiful tomorrow.

I wasn't impressed by AKL.

I loved the GF.

I loved Pop.

I loved the Poly

I've never been on/in The County Bear thing don't even know what it is.

Our next trip will be our last WDW trip for quite a while.

- I've never been to the Tiki Room
- I cry at Wishes every time the child starts singing "Starlight, star bright"
- Dole Whips are nice enough, but overrated
- I find the Canada and France shows at World Showcase kind of boring

I got some more...

I have never been to the Tiki Room although i listen to the Tiki Room music alot!

I listen to alot of disney music- Films,Rides,Background music.

I do wear clothes with Disney characters on.

My bedroom is full of Disney.

I really want a Disney Duvet!!

I hate DLC and DLRP- to me they are not Disney and I would never go there.

DLC is the original Disney park though! It's the only park Walt saw. Personally, I want to visit every Disney park in the world, just to see how everyone does it differently.

Also, how can you "hate" somewhere you haven't even visited? I'm assuming you haven't been to either DLC or DLP, seeing as you said "I would never go there". :confused3

And me - the whole of wishes usually makes me cry

And Beauty and the Beast

I cry at both of those too & when I say goodbye to the castle on our last day in MK. Thank goodness for large sunglasses!
