We usually stay anywhere from 4 nights to 7 nights on our trips to see the mouse. I was wondering what does everyone else do. How long is average for you?

Also on our next trip Nov/Dec 2010 (yes, we are already planning) we will be staying 7 nights. We will do all the main Disney parks plus a combo waterpark/DTD on one day. That will leave us one day to fill in but we are undecided as to where to go? Trip will consist of myself, DH, DD and 3 1/2 year old DGS. It's between Sea World, UIniversal or IOA. Which would you choose and why?

We've spent 4 nights, 6 nights, 8 nights and 11 nights. 8-11 nights would be optimal, in my opinion.

We looked into US/IOA but I didn't think our 6 year old would make the height requirement for many rides so we decided to go in a few years. If I were you, I'd take a day to relax and hang at the pool. It's nice to get away from the lines at the parks...

The minimum has been 5 nights, but we are staying 7 nights in November 2009! i am excited for the extra days...every time we go, I feel like we just got there and it is already time to leave!:sad2:

my trips have never been very long - on average usually between 3-5 nights.

On average maybe 7 days, but my trips change from 2-3 days and then a big 9-10 day trip. Got a 10 trip coming up!!!

Average would be 7 days but we have an 11 day trip this time. I am hoping we can pace ourselves as usually after 7 days of go go go we are BEAT :lmao:

We are not staying in the parks ALL day on this upcoming trip. We are hitting rope drop and leaving by lunch for resort swimming and fun. We also have 2 resort break days for resting up! On the night before those break days we are planning on late nights ...depending on the kids!

I couldn't imagine doing Disney under 7 days :scared1:
There is just so much to do!

7-10...when paying for a flight from Chicago, or driving 2 days...you make it count!

The first two trips were 5 nights (not quite enough time) and the last two will be 14 nights.

I really like the 14 nights. If I didn't go with small children then less nights would work okay. The first two trips were with older children and adults so 5 day park passes were okay, but another day or two would have been better.

We think that 10 nights is the ideal amount of time....however, my DH had mentioned that he would like to do 14 nights sometime.

We usually go for 10, but have gone for 7 on occassion. 10 gives us the chance to go at our own pace and feel like we can do/see most of what we want...It's perfect for us. (but we're still always sad to leave!)

I used to love to take a 4 or 5 night stay, two or three times a year.
This year, with the state of the economy, I am only coming once this and saying only a few days longer...

We stayed on trips before for 6-7 nights. In 2007 we stayed for 10 nights and found that to be a perfect length to stay. We are looking forward to are 2010 trip for 10 nights. It will be here before we know it.

Since we've started taking our girls, we've done anywhere from 2 nights (MIL lives in Ocala...sometimes we "pop" in) -8 nights (this trip and I can't wait!). our average has probably been 5.

As for an opinion on what to do with your "extra" day....I'd actually add a day to my Disney tickets and go to Epcot twice! It's most likely cheaper, and there is just soooo much that our girls LOVE there, we couldn't only go one day! :lovestruc

10 days for the past 2 trips, gives us enough time to do everything without feeling like I have to do something everyday or I'll miss out. My last 2 adventures were very similiar, even though one was in Feb and one in Oct.

Tuesday-arrived early in the day, got settled in the room and had dinner out
Wednesday- Epcot
Thursday- Hollywood Studios
Friday- Feb trip went to Discovery Cove and LOVED IT, best non disney run thing ever. Oct trip was an off day for my dad and I went to Disney Quest.
Saturday- Feb trip was Animal Kingdom, Oct was Downtown Disney
Sunday- Feb was Downtown Disney, Oct was Magic Kingdom
Monday- Feb was off day, Oct was Magic Kingdom of the Halloween party
Tuesday-Feb was Magic Kingdom, Oct was off day
Wednesday- Epcot
Thursday-home

When you're planning don't forget to look up what parks have the EMH for the day. Personally I avoid the parks the have the EMH because I find the others to be less crowded so I can get more done. You can also find a list that tells you which days in general tend to be more crowded in certain parks.

For our trip this September

Day 1 Bring dogs to kennel, stop mail, water plants, fly to MCO, pick up wine/snacks, tour construction sites, settle in, mini-golf?, nice dinner
Day 2 Sea World - DTD late night dinner
Day 3 Universal Studios and IOA, nice dinner - long day
Day 4 Magic Kingdom - long day
Day 5 Blizzard Beach - nice dinner
Day 6 Check out, fly home, pick up dogs and mail

Average is 10, but this time its for 13 days. We fly from Seattle and there is no way for a short trip without being exhausted.

We have to come a long way - so wouldn't have shorter then 10 nights. This upcoming trip is 14 night and even then I can't fit in everything! I know a lot of people from the UK do 21, which would be great, but I'd miss my cat!
