What is wrong with the Mayor of Baltimore?

This is what could have happened. There's a wall where the man was taken into custody. I can easily see that he ran right into this wall with his bike and injured himself while turning the corner to escape the police. He was already injured when the police picked him off the ground and there were people there watching and didn't see any "brutality".

It can happen but I'm sure most of you won't believe it or even give it a thought.

So continue on with the bashing. But remember that this is still under investigation.

If that's the case, he should have received medical attention. He was apparently asking for medical attention at one point but was ignored.
I'm not sure how you ask for anything with an 80% severed spine and a crushed larynx.

This is they type of possibility we have been discussing at work. Problem being, even if true, how much of the public will believe it's a cover up to protect police brutality? This is exactly the problem with protecting any dirty cops. You've destroyed your ability to be trusted.

Add that to a public that is angry and fed up with the protection of dirty cops to the point of rioting and you've got a serious problem. Even among those who are peacefully protesting there exists a lot of irrationality. I heard some protesters being interviewed while walking last night and when asked where they were headed, what they wanted, why they were protesting they said "why haven't they been found guilty yet?" A large segment of people who are angry simply feel the officers should be jailed now, end of story.

I have a hunch authorities haven't come up with a smoking gun in this case as far as what happened and are genuinely wondering if it wasn't a freak accident, a one in a million incident that leaves you stunned. There is a strong likelihood that systematic protection of bad cops will mean that some innocent cops take the heat. A disgruntled segment of society will say, so what, serves them right, about time the shoe's on the other foot. That's not an answer anymore than protecting dirty cops is an answer.

I agree with you. I think it's hard to put faith in a system when you feel like it doesn't work for you.
I saw a guy on the news the other day too and he said something similar about why no arrest. He said if it had been him and his friends who went into a van with a guy and come out with the guy in the condition Gray was in, they would have been arrested by now. I can't say I disagree with him on that point.

And you wonder why only democrats are elected in those types of cities? Because poor minorities want to complain about being poor and the liberal agenda is to keep them that way so they can get their votes. Why try and become self sufficient when the gov't will give you just enough to live on (free phone, free food, free housing, not pay taxes, have more kids that you can't raise, get to stay home, etc......)? Or you could get a job a McDonald's and then complain that you are trying to make a living but minimum wage is too low so you just quit and stay home and collect your money. When in reality, you aren't suppose to make a living working at McDonald's flipping burgers, try getting a job that can become a career. And on top of that, they don't get that when they raise the minimum wage, less people will be hired or more will be let go because the cost of overhead starts to become too high and the employees left to work are going to be required to do more work and they will still complain about this new problem.

As for the whole crashing into the wall and he just had back surgery. If this is true, maybe he should have not fled from the police and he'd still be alive. Just a thought of common sense that always comes to mind when I see stupid people do stupid things.

But if this is correct then the police didn't do anything to him. It was an accident done by the criminal himself.

I've heard medical examiners testify in cases I've heard about in the media and been taken by surprise by the real nitty gritty details many times.
