What is wrong with our kitten?

Our kitten (who was born in March), has been acting very odd lately. Yesterday he was VERY vocal, he was meowing a LOT yesterday, more then usual. Then around 4 oclock he became very lethargic and all he wants to do is sleep. This morning my dh said he threw up a little. He hasn't touched his food today, and we didn't change his his usual kitten food either. What could be wrong with him?:confused3

I would get him to the vet sounds like he could have a urinary blockage..has he been using his litter box alot?

Take him to a vet, he may have an obstruction in his bowel (or any number of other problems). Sometimes they eat something like a string and can't pass it, its best to get him checked out JIC.

Please take him to a vet, ASAP!

Cats instinctively hide their illnesses - he could be a lot sicker than you realize.

Kittens get into things. I would definitely take him to the vet.

We've got an appointment at four. He had a bm yesterday evening..but he has been urinating a LOT and drinking a great amount of water.

I'll second this suggestion. Our cat ate a long piece of thread and he acted the way the OP's kitten is acting.

Vet ASAP! Usually by the time you "notice" a cat is sick, they are quite sick!! We have had 3 close calls this past year with our 2 year old cat. Every times, she would throw up stomach bile only and not eat or groom. I would take her to the vet, they would do the whole workup and tests on her and say it was likely a gastrointestinal bug. There was never a blockage or a foreign body that she ingested. They would put her on antibiotics, give her fluids under her skin, and send her home with some yummy high calorie food and within 24 hours she was fine. This has happened 3 times now. We have had every possible blood test done on her and everything has been negative. She just gets occasional upset stomach. Good luck and keep us posted!

Oh goodness, please let us know what you find out!! Poor kitteh! :(

Yes, once you notice a cat is sick, they usually are gone in 48 hours unless you get them to a vet right away. :(

Just came back from the vets.. Apparently the worming he got from its mothers owner (my ds's piano teacher who basically just dropped it off on us) back before we got him didn't catch all his worms. :( The vet said he might have a bad case of him so they gave him some dewormer and some IV fluids since he was dehydrated.

Poor kitty, but I'm glad it's not more serious, and can be treated! :goodvibes
