What is with the ********

What is with all the astericks with the towncars? I am trying to decide on a town car and all the threads have astericks through the names. One of them is even the company that supports the DIS boards so I am confused. Does the astericks mean that the DIS board doesn't want them mentioned? IF so why would there be astericks on the company that they advertise. ??????

Somebody please help. I think we are going with Tiffiany as we have had a great experience with them, but I am looking into for other families with a greater number of people and I am getting so confused. Can anyone shed some light on this astericks stuff. Should I be staying away from those companies??

As far as I know only one company defaults to *.

That company (Your ####) decided that the way to get business was to advertise on the DIS without paying any type of fee. Since these boards cannot be cheap to run advertiser support is imporatant and they were banned.

My theory is that if the played the stunt above even after being warned I would not think much of managment.

Thanks CarolA, I though Your RIde was one of the ones trying to advertise on the boards and I agree I am not for using them, but now Fl ***** is also getting **** out and I thought they were the ones that the DIS supports? I would like to try them but if for some reason the DIS board is not happy with them I would want to know. I even saw on a thread below that the WEBsite www.fl*****.com is astericked out as well?


What gives on this? Anyone know?

Looks to me like one of the mods did a global replace or filter on the word T o u r s to deal with the spam offender and FL T o u r s got caught in the crossfire as a result.

I noticed an unusually large number of very similar posts about anouther town car company with t o u r in the name. I personally had never even seen this company mentioned prior to yesterday, then about 20 posts saying how great they were. Perhaps when blocking out yesterday's "poster" FL T o u r s got unexpectedly censored?

OOPS, My fault gang. It should be all fixed now. There was another company with the word "tours" in the name that was spamming these boards to advertise their own. Thanks for pointing this out.

Dear Corey,

Even though I understand why you did think that, I did not appreciate being accused this way. Only 2 members (old ones I must add) have talked about us.

After reading hundreds of postings with the web addresses of Tiffany, Happy Limo and Etc... I do not understand why Quicksilver has been treated this way. Above all we have a very good and healthy relationship with FL Tours.

There is no spaming nor there will be any!!! Please read my PM to you!!!

Please understand that Quicksilver was not the company referred to in my post. I will not mention the name of the company, but they spammed these boards with over 20 false posts about their own organization. We fully respect and allow the opinions of everyone on these boards to express their likes and dislikes of specific companies; however we will not allow those acting as visitors to misinform our “true visitors” with fake trip planning information.
