I have been hearing people talking about going to "wishes", what is that? We will be in town next week and are interested in it.

The wishes are purchased with a package when you add the silver, gold or platinum plans. Depending on which plan you chose you get so many wishes per person, per night and they can be used for meals, shows or recreation.
A meal may be worth one or two wishes, and a dinner show might be worth 2 wishes etc.

'Wishes' is the title of our new fireworks spectacular that debuts to Magic Kingdom guests on October 9th. Wishes will be a 12-minute "story in the sky" weaving together a new symphonic score, lighting and projections, fireworks, dialogue from animated features, and a new narration by Jiminy Cricket. 'Wishes' is one of the new offerings that will debut as a part of our Magical Gatherings celebration.

Thank you steve. Disney just picked the perfect day to do that too :) That is our 10 year anniversary, so it will seem like this is just for us :)

Sounds great! Will they have it every night?

jazyjewel...we spent our 10th anniversary at WDW in December! Congratulations!

Here too. 4 Year anniversary on October 9th!!!! Wishes will be great for us too.

See you there.

you get some choice(s) to choose from when you get a package. it's on the disney.com website. under packages, i presume. ie. Leave a Legacy tile at Epcot, inclusive meals, special gifts.

I think some have "Wishes" the new fireworks show at MK and "Magical Wishes" the package component mixed up. The question is about the new fireworks show which as Steve stated starts on Oct 9. Check the schedule as it will be the new fireworks "Fantasy in the Sky" will be ending it's run. Just like "Fantasy in the Sky", "Wishes" will not be presented every night during this time of year (but it will be quite frequently) so make sure you check for the times and plan around that. From what I have heard from CM's that have seen the test runs it is awesome.

I was fortunate enough to see a special test show and it is quite impressive. You will want to be on the hub or at the Train Station for the best views. During the show, Fantasyland will only be accessible via liberty square and tomorrowland. Snow White's Adventures and Cinderella's Golden Carousell will not operate during the show. The music is great, and there's even a post-show track that is very nice for that long walk down Main St.

Thanks all for your help. I can't wait to see Wishes now!!! I am off to a very long day at work, then it's heigh ho, heigh ho, it's to the "world" I go!!!!!! See ya on the flip side!!!!
