What is up with Buzz Lighyear's Space Ranger Spin?

My 6 year old's favorite! She just wanted to do Buzz and Laugh Floor over and over :D So that is why I love it too!

Yeah, some of them do move and such, but the DL version has a lighted area around the target that flashes and makes it much easier to confirm a hit, even on the wall targets that don't move. I do not recall the version at MK doing that.

You are correct I don't believe every target reacts as there isn't an indicator ring on them like at DL. It should make a noise but it is hard to tell when it is a noise for your shot or it is a noise for someone else's shot.

I love the ride. I agree it's looking a bit on in years, but I still really enjoy it.

Totally agree on how to calibrate your gun...aim at the blackness when they first come online. Some of the targets do seem to react, but there is so much noise and other lasers firing that sometimes I'm not sure if it's me or another person that hit it.

What I am still missing is the magic targets that cause you to get a really high score. Where are they?

If they redid it, I would like to see a visual confirmation come from the gun itself that you hit a target. As far as I know, neither version does this, but a light on the gun would be easy to implement (lots of laser tag guns do this).

Inside of the big robot's hand and the bottom of Zurg are the 100,000 ones. There are several 50,000 ones spread out (the volcano, under the claw hand, and I believe the spinners at the top by where people moves through). I usually get quite a few on the robot hand and if I haven't maxed out by Zurg that's when I max out.

Also just hold down the blaster button. To make up for little ones playing you get points just for shooting and unlike Toy Story you do not have to shoot every time as the blaster guns are automatic.

The MIB guns at Universal do that don't they? I suck at MIB though compared to Buzz.

I think they do, actually. MiB is a much harder game. I always try to shoot the other cars.

Same and the button at the end. My fiance hates that I'm always the one to press the darn button. Some lady the last time we played got so mad that I got it before her and assumed I must have cheated. IDK how I could have possibly cheated shooting games are just my favorite and I am very very competitive at them haha. No one gets that button before me haha.

Points going up would be an indication that you are hitting the targets.

Thank you!! I need to print this out and save it...I won't tell my kids though... :D Already figured out the trick of holding the button down, learned that after a few tired finger rides. I'll have to check out the big robots hand, I probably never even noticed it, and I always look high at Zurg. In the last room where it's a video of the alien flying around, is there anything really worth hitting? I feel like I'm just shooting into darkness...

Perhaps a little sprucing up, but we love Buzz Lightyear! It is fun and challenging to try to get that PERFECT score!

Shooting gets you points. I believe when Zurg's ship is flying around there are sensors where it stops for a moment if you look closely. Some say there isn't but I know I've gone up more then just the standard holding the button down points in that room.

just did TSM after awhile, and it is much better, shooting wise. You can really see where your shots are going. Buzz is fun but they could improve that.

While I can usually hit 999,999 (not last week, gun a mess) ......
..... my DS manages to usually rain on my parade with his double score. o_O

I love BLSRS but it's a ride in a theme park. I've probably ridden it over 100 times and have never noticed the narrators. As long as my gun works I'm happy.

Then again, I was on the losing end of a family Frasier vs Home Improvement vote.......

I love when I learn new things on the Dis! I had no idea that Tom Hanks's brother does a lot of the Woody voiceover work other than the movies. Cool!

I am horrible at scoring points on this ride. I never have any idea where I am shooting my little laser gun. But, I still enjoy it every time!
