I was at AK and purchased FOP for $14 each (3 riders; accidentally purchased for non rider and got refunded via chat). Booked Navi for the same time. Entered park around 9:40 and Navi had a 35 min wait; Got to FOP and when we got off (around 11 something) wait said 60 mins but looked like 40 or less. Stroller was drenched (rain was not forecasted for our trip (4 days of rain in Nov; we couldn’t be that unlucky right) so we left stroller rain cover at home and thought we would wing it with ponchos) and it was so difficult to move from one place to another (can’t run with baby in carrier under zip up poncho and wearing dad’s hat).
After both of those rides we took a lunch break at Satuli and then booked Safari. There was brief stop to a drizzle and we saw many active animals, ostrich and kudu walked across the Jeep’s path and stopped our vehicle. A group of Zebra ran, cheetahs were up and roaming, 7 giraffes huddled in a group; hippo baby and her mom surfaced.
After that, we had to stop under a bamboo
umbrella (got a wilderness explorer book), booked the Lion King show-covered stroller parking near Tusker house is the best (bit too late for us; people were tired and less interactive; but show was great), drank some coffee, DD rode Everest (5 min wait) 5 times (wore ponchos whole time and had to sometimes cover face as the rain came down hard at times); screamed so loud lost my voice for a bit (could have ridden more but Dinosaur LL was at its end) and then DS rode Dinosaur twice with LL and rider switch.
We spent an hour drying our sneakers but we made the best of a cold pouring day. Ubered to dinner at Boma to end our day!
