My fabulous brother has taken pity on me because I can't ride any of the rough rides due to my surgery and has bought our tickets for our trip this weekend. We have the money saved up for two day passes and now I'm thinking we could do another trip. We have only been in the summer, so I thought near Christmas would be cool. Is the week before Christmas totally crazy or comparable to summer crowds? We can handle summer crowds! TIA!

Have you joined us in the Disneyland at Christmas Time Superthread yet? I thought you had, but I may be losing my mind!:rotfl2: You must come say hello! Take a look at Page 1 of that thread if you can, especially the first 3 posts (the Welcome post, the Table of Contents for photos and the Information post). That will give you an excellent idea of what to expect and look forward to.

The holiday season is a fantastic, magical, wonderful time to be at DLR so you're in for a treat.

Now as far as the time frame you are looking at...it will be crowded, but I don't think the week before Christmas would be any worse than Summer crowds. THere will be people out on break in that week before Christmas, but not as many as those out on break between Christmas and New Year's. In fact, since you are used to Summer crowds you should be able to handle it with no problem. The week that is the realllllly crazy time is the post-Christmas/pre-New Year's week.

I have been to DLR on the weekend immediately before Christmas 3 years in a row and it got increasingly busy each year, with the last year I did it (2009) being the worst. So I switched my dates in 2010 and went earlier in December. This year I am going even earlier in the season.

But again, the fact that you are used to Summer crowds means that it won't be too much of a shock to see a crowded park.
