What is the weather like the last 2 weeks of April?

In general, is it warm enough to swim? We usually go in May but in 2005 (because of certain family commitments) we will need to go in April. We really only like to swim when the temperature is in the eighties or higher. Thanks.

I'll look with you for replies from people who've been there, as I'm hoping (please, oh please) to go with my wife and daughter late April/early May 2004. My research thus far (mainly reading a lot of trip reports) is that the weather is pretty good. Low to mid-80's during the day, high 60's to low 70's at night, and way less rain than I'm used to in June and the September/October time frame.

Webmaster Pete warned me that wildfires might (that's a big MIGHT) be a problem during that time of year...

We have gone to WDW three out of the last four years in April. (last week of April each year) The weather has been so great that we keep taking our vacation during that time.
We have had only one day of rain in that time. And yes it is hot enough to go swimming. Last year it was in the upper 80's everyday and not one day of bad weather. I never had to put on my long pants or jacket all week.

Most of our trips to the world have been late April-early May and mostly the weather has been wonderful! Last year (April 29-May 7 to be exact) it was in the 90's and humid and I didn't see one drop of rain. Swimming is delightful with those temps.
One year we went mid-April and they had record lows! It was cool for FL. But that's not the norm.

We enjoy this time of year so much at WDW that we are going back next year...same time.

We were there April 20th this year for 6 nights. Daytime temps started out at a cool 60 degrees (low humidity) and then went up in the 80's by mid afternoon. I did wear capri pants at night a couple of times. It clouded up our last evening at about 7 and the temp dropped about 25 degrees in a matter of minutes! It poured buckets for hours- needless to say it was souvenier sweatshirt time in Epcot!
