What is the typical dress code (excluding signature restaurants)?

I'm curious what the dress codes are. I need to plan my dining reservations, but want to plan them based on what parks we'll be at that day. However, I'm not sure what the dress codes are. Let's say I'm at Epcot for the day (and its going to be hot in August so we will be dressed for the weather) and I have a reservation at Le Cellier. Do I need to leave the park, go back to the room, change and come back? I sure hope not as this will be a major inconvenience.

For most of the restaurants, the dress is casual. Not business casual, but theme park casual. If you are there in a nice shirt and shorts, you will probably be dressed more formally than half the diners, who may be wearing Mickey gear.

A few restuarants (all the signature ones, IIRC) are business casual, and Victoria & Alberts requires men to wear a jacket. For most of Disney, informal attire is fine.

Yup, as SAHDad said, just casual. Maybe a nice shirt and a good pair of shorts? Le Cellier is one of my favorites in Walt Disney. You will love it!

Which places are considered "signature" rest??? Glad to hear there isn't really dress codes :woohoo:

Anything goes for the non-signature restaurants.

Signature Restaurants are:
Artist Point at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
Cítricos at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Flying Fish Cafe at Disney’s BoardWalk
Jiko – The Cooking Place at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
Narcoossee’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Yachtsman Steakhouse at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts

Even at those restaurants the dress code is very liberal. It is as follows:

Men: Dress slacks, jeans, trousers, or dress shorts, short- or long-sleeved shirt with a
collar or t-shirt required. Jackets are optional.
Ladies: Jeans, skirt, or dress shorts with blouse, sweater or t-shirt, or a dress required.
Not permitted: tank tops, swimsuits or swimsuit cover-ups, hats for gentlemen, cut offs,
or torn clothing of any kind.

10 years ago, on our first trip to WDW (since I was a child), DW and I were on our honeymoon. We really did not know anything about Disney and had made no reservations. It was just the two of us during September, so were lucky with walking into TS restaurants. Without knowing, we went into Fulton's after a day in the theme parks, wearing shorts and tanks. But, no one said anything, but I always wondered why we were sat in the corner. But, the food and service were great. We go back with our dds, but now we dress better.

I was actually wondering what to wear to the Hoop Dee Doo show?? any suggestions?

Theme Park wear - what ever you wear in the park. Hoop Dee Doo is VERY casual.
