What is the tag fairy?

I totally understand where you're coming from. It took me many moons to figure it out!

And Nobody should feel bad about not having a tag, there's so much goin on on these boards TF can't follow us all, even when we are truly gifted, witty, oh so Disneyfied, and really truly want them to find us! It'll happen when TF finds us deserving

So is there only one tag fairy, or multiple fairies flitting around these boards? Or is that another question that no one quite knows the answer to?

I think I remember reading a while back about there being a few TF's, but only those in the know, know for sure!

Once you get "tagged" does it stay with you forever? I thought I had a tag when I first joined the DIS. Then I was away from the DIS for awhile and now there's no tag. Unless of course, it's time for a good cup of coffee and I'm imagining this whole thing. Thanks!!

Well a tag can stay with you forever. but once on the teen board a girl said two of her tags disapperared. One may never know!!

I got my tag. The TF had to be at jellyrolls on the same day I was forme to get mine.

WHAT is the Tag Fairy?
I've always chosen to believe the Tag Fairy is a being, not too much unlike Eeyore, but smaller and with wings that allow HIM to flit about the DisBoards effortlessly, oh, and with the ability to type.

There are three different types of tags...

1. The automatic tag...i.e. Mouseketeer, DIS Veteran (appears in black)

2. Self made tags...tags that people have put in themselves in their User CP (appears in black)

3. Custom tags...presented by the tag fairy at random, and no one knows who or when someone will get this coveted tag; you can get it at 50 or 50000 posts for example (appears in color)

The tag will also disappear if you start messing with your profile. You can change your option and siggy, but the tf gets cranky if you mess with their artwork. "Their making a list and checking it twice. Gonna find out who's naughty....." I think you get the idea. Don't mess with the tf and they won't mess with you. Also, don't beg. I hear they hate begging, nagging and artifical sweetners.

They also spend every minute of every day reading everything that we say. I believe the TFs must be government officials or a computer geeks

Oh....The tag fairy!
I think of her (or him..) as a magical being that flies around the boards at night looking for its next victim (just kidding...or am I). Once they find the perfect quote they attack you with it so it stays with you forever (unless you get it removed).

Correct TFs don't do black. I kind of wonder if tag fairies dream in color, too. That's a scary thought.

I thought I'd actually seen the tag fairy on a TV commercial, a brilliantly costumed little creature turning a gray and dismal city into a wonderful world of color. I knew I was mistaken when she chased down that big black automobile but was unable to colorize. If that had been the tag fairy, the big black auto would have been zapped into a bright red double decker with beloved Disney characters spilling out. Also, the fool that refers to her as a silly little little fairy would have found himself sporting a Mickey Mouse t-shirt with Pluto on a leash and an unrelenting need and desire to visit the DIS forums. And furthermore, he'd embrace the transformation!
