pic looks like paintings with really vivid colours.


I have seen a few shots of Main street in the last couple of days that made me stop and go WOW. Any idea what I am talking about? I should have bookmarked the pages.

That program is called Topaz Adjust. It can alter the contrast and color from mild realistic touchups, to near-painting, super-pop colors and style. It's a neat and fun program - however it doesn't stand on it's own. It's called a 'plug in'...so you have to have a post-processing software for it to plug into. It will work with PhotoShop or PaintShopPro, and a few other compatable programs.

Some of the HDR programs like Photomatix can do similar effects. One of the effects is called fitymi (fake it til you make it) or something like that, where a single exposure is tweaked to look like a HDR image. It appears much of the tweaking is based on local contrast and saturation adjustments.

I believe it will. I don't know much about lightroom, but i know the Topaz download page had Mac & PC options.

Check out the Topaz website: www.topazlabs.com...they have a free 30-day demo you can download to try out - that way you can make sure it's compatible with Lightroom too.

If you do get it you will love it. The things you can do to your shots are amazing. As zackiedawg shows you can do minor to very extreme touch ups such as my Main St. shot. Great little plug in.
