What is the process to become a DVC member?

I gave my guide all my information necessary so that we could become members when the Villas at the Grand Californian were available to buy. I was curious to know what the process was in becoming a member of the Disney Vacation Club. I have not recieved my paperwork yet, and it has been 12 days since I gave my information.

I would contact your guide back just to check. The paperwork takes a while to arrive, but you should be in the Disney system within days of when you gave your deposit.

I actually am in the system, being able to access the "Members Only" link on the Disney Vacation Club website. I am just surprised that it is taking this long for the paperwork to arrive. Does anyone know if it standard mail or sent via Fed Ex or UPS?

It comes FedEx...you should call your guide.

My guide got in touch with me today, and the mystery is solved. When I called her to ask why the paperwork hasn't arrived, she had to make a few phone calls. This is what happened: I am a Cast Member, and the paperwork they were going to send me did not have my Cast Member discount applied, so they had to redo it all. She told me that they were going to have it out by today.
