Can't say I ever remember seeing it? Would like to know what the counter food is like and where it is located.

THANKS in advance!

It is NOT counter service, but table servie. It is salads and sandwiches--but very good salads and sandwiches. DH and I really enjoy this restaurant and go every year as a break from all the "heavy" meals we eat on the dining plan. We usually make it our last lunch before we leave the parks to head home at the end of our trip. We have had everything from the burger, to the club, to the reuben, grilled chicken, etc. and all has been very good. The shakes are out of this world and the desserts, well, all I can say is :worship:

It is a table service restaurant. Very casual, milk shakes and sandwiches.

On a hot day, its one of my favorites. Meals are not heavy and the place is air conditioned.

The Plaza is great. They have excellent sandwiches and desserts. It is a nice sit-down restaurant and you get a break from the crowds.

It's a small, casual, sit-down restaurant featuring sandwiches, burgers and salads at the end of Main Street. A nice change of pace from the other WDW restaurants.

Plaza is nice for a dessert or sandwich. Pretty small & it has been hit-or-miss for us without an ADR.

Here is the MK map. Plaza rest. is at the end of Main St, noted by "D"

We just went for our lst time on 12/2. I will do a review too, but it was the only place we could get. Our server was terrible. So slow, etc. I think the soup was way over priced but good. My sandwhich honestly didnt have alot of meat on it, there was more meat on a hamburger at a counter service place. However, the ice cream brownie sundae was good. It was nice to try it, it was small and noisy.

Its a nice place to try once or if you dont want to deal with the counter service crowds. My ds commented I always wondered what was inside here and what this place was like.

Our table was the 2nd one away from the door and it was a freezing night and ever time the door opened the wind blew and we were freezing.

It was a MVMCP night. People as walk ups were being turned away. I laughed when some lady just walked past the cm and opened the door.

Unlike the above poster I have only had the best service there...I actually love the Plaza...the sammys are great and sundae's are yummo :thumbsup2
I have never had a bad experience there and I have been there more times than I can count!
I'm sure it can get bogged down on a hard ticket night like MVMCP or such but as I said before it's a winner in my book!!
Hope you enjoy! Save some room for Ice Cream

I'm glad you started this thread. I have not eaten there yet but have often looked at the menu and thought that it was quite the bargain in terms of WDW TS. It didn't seem to be much more than a CS restaurant but offered a little bit of relaxation for your meal. We will definitely have to check this out on a future trip.

Your map didn't show up.

The Plaza is right around the corner from the Bakery and Ice Cream shop on Main Street on the right side...Make a right heading towards the chinese food place that is open seasonally; before you hit the cart selling hats and souvies...hope that helps :cool1: Oh you will also see all the tables with the umbrellas outside the doors.

No problem...I completely understand about the blackberry!:thumbsup2

We have been to the Plaza, and really like it. I havent seen to many CS locations that have good sandwiches that are not burgers, so we go here and use a TS or OOP. We like it here, they have a nice selection, and is not as heavy as some dinners. We have been there for lunch. If I remember I had the Turkey Club. Very good kids meals too.

We go at least once per visit. We've always had good service, unfortunately, we haven't had the desserts - we've been too stuffed from lunch/dinner!! When we go in August we're going with the mantra: life is short - start with dessert!!!

Anyway, you'll like it. My recommendation is the Reuben.

Highly recommend the Plaza's Club Sandwich - excellent. Great OOP bargain!:thumbsup2

We just went to the Plaza for the first time this October with a group of 6 adults. Everyone really enjoyed their meal. We'll most likely eat there on all future trips to MK.

We love it! It's such a great little restaurant - great service, pretty good food, aweseome ice cream and a great view!

It's a must-do for us each trip! Tiger :)
