We called it a Black Cow if it was made with coke and a Brown Cow if it was made with rootbeer.

I never had a ginger ale float! Do you use vanilla ice cream? I'm going to have to give it a try.

We use our cups from Goofy's Candy Company every time we make root beer floats. If you haven't had a root beer float for a while, indulge! They are so yummy.

Just did a little lookin' online, and an Egg Cream is just like an ice cream soda with milk instead of ice cream. The ice cream soda is also called a Black and White soda. I am really craving one now!!

I was surprised to read the a Horse's Neck is usually made with alcohol. We just made it with the ginger ale and ice cream. Let me tell you, as the ice cream melts into the soda, it gets really yummy!

That's how I make ice cream sodas. The whipped cream is optional and put on the top with a cherry.

Pour a little milk in the bottom of a glass
Add chocolate syrup
Stir
Add a couple scoops of chocolate ice cream
Fill with seltzer

I know, gross name. I would just call it a chocolate soda. That was just according to one website, anyway.

Virgo, whipped cream is NEVER optional! LOL, but you are right, that's just something we like to add. Every time, of course.
