What is the Origin of Your DIS Screen Name?

I have used headz in various forms for years. As a teenager my favorite bands were Portishead and Radiohead and I had a Mowax compilation called 'headz'. I love DLR so....disheadz.

...we do all that hippie stuff...
Spent my young teen years (late 1960s) living in Santa Cruz, California. Santa Cruz was and still is the capital of the hippie life style. I fondly remember girls playing Frisbee topless in a nearby city park back in those cool ole days. Not quite as carefree these days, but still a very good place to visit and experience some retro hippie culture if you choose. I visit Santa Cruz about once a year.:hippie:

Sadly, we haven't made it that far west yet. I have a feeling I would fit in a lot better in North Cal, or the PNW. Unfortunately, I could never handle the weather!!

...or happy and well adjusted! I mostly listened when I was depressed, which is hardly ever now.:goodvibes

Have you heard Lamb? They have the same trip-hoppy thing going on, but seem happier to me somehow.

Back then I was really into trip hop and had an album by them, I still have one song 'Gorecki' (I think) around here somewhere. I really liked them.

Never heard of either. I must be old. :)

This made me laugh.

2 months ago, I was in a restaurant with my husband. A guy got up from behind me and brushed up against my arm as he was leaving. I looked up and saw that it was Morrissey. I told my husband as soon as he was out of earshot and he looked at me blankly.

Who? You know...The Smiths...Morrissey?

Crickets. :scared1:

:eek::eek: That is great! I love Morrissey! :lovestruc (and The Smiths too) I have seen him twice, but at concerts. How lucky you are! :thumbsup2

We saw Bjork at Disneyland in 2007 and my DH and my brother had no clue who she was either! :confused3

I have heard of Bjork.

The memory that sticks in my mind was from maybe five years ago at (I think) the Academy Awards and she was wearing that godawful goose dress. :rotfl:If she wanted to be remembered she was. But I am not sure that is how you want people to remember you.

Anyways, we are seriously off-topic here. :cool2:

Well mine came from my husband. I had just drug him, mildly kicking and screaming, to a Cirque show and when we came home I wanted to buy more Cirque stuff so he introduced me to ebay. When I wanted to buy something he created an account for me and I became Cirquelovers. I have kept it ever since, everywhere I go.

OMG OMG OMG !!!!! (flapping hands like an excited 15 yo) you - almost- met Morrissey????
I'm a huge Smiths fan from waaaay back in the 80s...
I'm posting on the same forum as you - so that's only two degrees of separation from me and Mozza isn't it???- wow! <sigh>

Getting back OT....Sas is a family nickname and I'm a New Zealander - and we call ourselves kiwis - (but after the bird - our national symbol, not the fruit!)

Mine is from Epcot's Journey Into Imagination, it's a line in the song. I originally tried "onelittlespark" but that was taken, so I shortened "little" to "lil." Figment is my favorite!

On anything non-Disney I use "kat228" which is my initials and birthday (Feb 28....and no, I wasn't a leap year baby!)

I have 3 DDs and 1 DS.

3Princesses1Prince (my Mouseplanet screen name) was not available on the disboards, so I went with 3Minnies1Mickey.

::MinnieMo::MinnieMo::MinnieMo:smickey:

My mom always called me Boo Boo or Boo Bear as a child. She still calls me Boo or Boo Boo. Her step sister, Lynn, was nicknamed Boo and my middle name is Lynn because of her. So I guess that automatically made me Boo Boo then she called me Boo Bear to be fun and cute.

Anyways, I am a mechanical engineer and have worked the last 24 years in fluid dynamics and thermodynamics. The last 16 years I have worked in a small business that develops simulation software flor fluid flow. Off the cuff one day I wanted to stop lurking and so chose HydroGuy to kind of represent my fluid flow and hydrodynamics profession. I never realized I would use the moniker so much!

Cool... I kinda though about hydrodynamics when I first haw your nickname... But then, it's a small field... If ya don't mind me askin what is the name of the software? My company (well not mine, but the company I work for) uses a lot of CFD software and perhaps we have used yours...

As far as my nick goes... It's pretty self explanatory!
