What is the ONE thing you would change about DVC, DVC rules?

Lastly, DVD needs to call their friends at the Disney Cruise Line and replace every single one of the mattresses in the DVC rooms with the ones that appear on every DCL ship... I have such a great sleep on DCL, and yet I sleep TERRIBLY in my DVC villa!
I would be very worried if the DVC buildings started swaying and rocking like a DCL ship while I slept...

Alright, after reading 6 pages, here are mine... I have three wishes Genie!

@AstroBlasters is completely right.... the room refurb schedule is not adequate.... these hotels run at 90%+ capacity.... I would argue soft goods every 4 years, full refurb every 8.... And some of the older properties need a true full refurb.... drywall style, doors, etc. Yes, my dues will go up. No, I don't care, and I don't know why Disney does either....

The pools need to be reexamined.... These properties had state of the art pools when they opened, but OKW for example could significantly up its game... That pool area will be so outdated by 2057... Add a splash-pad, add an additional true lap pool, really do it up... these are supposed to be DELUXE resorts people!

hmm... maybe I should sell my DVC points and take a few cruises! Oh wait, if I sell them I won't get my lip balm and blue beverage!
Agree with the refurb and I am willing to pay for it. Getting the ick factor in my room does not make me want more trips in the future, thus I need less points.

Enlighten me on this blue beverage, will I get one on my cruise next year 🤔

You should... there's always a Member event with "trivia" and at it they serve complimentary DVC blue dye beverages - I forget what they call it but it is Champagne and something else mixed in... Sometimes they're extremely weak and other times they're not too bad...

Why he get three wishes and I only got two 😪 LOL

Resale restrictions and VGF II were the beginning of the me starting to look at Disney as just another corporation looking at the bottom line.
Edit. Disregard the second part, it is kind of off topic. Don't want to be the downer about Disney, still glad we own DVC.

They also don’t run at 100% capacity, have a lot of guests that stay longer than a couple days and have as wide a variety of room types as our DVC. Hiltons Timeshare product (HGVC) does not let you pick a room…unless that’s something they just added.

Running at 100% is a thing that Hilton and their extended brands can experience. Additionally running at 100% capacity doesn't impact the ability to have people pick their rooms.

Additionally their timeshare product is a completely different company compared to the hotel side so why they choose to do something is not really relevant.

I’ve got another one: I’d love to be able to choose my additional guests from my Friends & Family list, instead of having to type their names in EVERY SINGLE TIME…

Very simple to implement. They went and broke the DVC site for some updates we don’t even want the least they could do is break it for something like this.
Agreed. This wouldn't even be a policy change. Just a simple website enhancement. They already have friends & family list on MDE (in fact, we have to match guests to that list when linking the reservation).

If the friends & family list was integrated across both platforms, it would simplify adding guests on the front end and then you wouldn't need to match them in MDE because it would already know that's who it is.

Even when HGVC was under the Hilton Hotel company umbrella - you could not pick your room at the time shares but you could at their hotels.

Another website thing I'd love to see is for them to take me to my Dashboard when I login, instead of their splash screen - which is basically all marketing. I shouldn't have to go through 3 additional steps just to see the information about my points and reservations. At the very least, give me a link to my Dashboard on that stupid splash scene. Put it at the top of the page - don't make me scroll through all your marketing crap to find it.

FYI When you log in and click on My DVC on the upper right, it takes you to your dashboard. So there is a link on the home page. You don't have to hover, wait and then go to My Dashboard. Just click on the My DVC link itself

Not on my phone. "My DVC" doesn't appear on the splash screen anywhere. I have to click on the menu bars in the top left, then click on My DVC, then click on My Dashboard. I rarely access DVC via my laptop, but now that you mention it, I do vaguely recall that there's a My DVC link there.

So I'll modify my wish. Make the mobile and computer versions of the site match and function the same.

I just did it on my phone.

Make sure your browser is set to display the "desktop site" instead of the mobile site. I hate mobile sites so I always have it turned on. I've never actually seen the mobile site I guess lol
