What is the most beautiful name you've ever heard?

Uhhh ya but now you get the points instead of me!! :lmao: J/k

Shouldn't be any points for talking about part of the throat that rhymes with a name you like!:thumbsup2

And one of my half sisters, has a name of Melva, which caused her some teasing while growing up!:wizard:

I love my niece's name: Ella Simone

We've chosen a name for our daughter that at first, I did NOT like. But it grew on me and now I absolutely love it! Her name will be Dorissa Fay. We aren't decided on how to spell Fay yet...it depends on her given Chinese name as we hope to incorporate part of it into the name that we are giving her. If her given Chinese name doesn't work, then we will change the spelling to Fei. DH wanted to honor his grandmother, Doris, with the name. I didn't like Doris for a little girl...didn't want Dori or Dora...I wanted an -issa name. He came up with Dorissa! Fay is my mom's middle name...I have her mom's middle name and I wanted to continue that tradition with my daughter.

I love the name Rayne (but I would pronounce it Rain-ah). :thumbsup2 I also like Elise, Natasha, and almost any Hawai'ian name!

I was on a random name generator one day looking for character names for my book and I came across the name Concord Sloane for a girl. I thought it was really unique, and it could be a boy's name as well. :thumbsup2

Amazing! We haven't met many other girls with Ashlyn or Ashlynn!

UMTerp

Us either, how old is your dd? We did meet an Ashlyn at a DISmeet in Epcot this year, I think she was around 8 or 9. My dd is 10. :) I think we've run into less than 5 in those 10 years!

I love Montserrat.

Unfortunately the wife didn't....my last name is 10 letters long which would have given our daughter a 20 letter name!

I like names that have a story behind them. My son's middle name is Kim which always strikes up conversation. He is named after DH's sister who was killed in a car accident. It isn't typical but it means an awful lot to us.

I like the name Alexandria - Alexis - Lexi

People seem to like my name but I never did growing up ...now I am getting used to it - Christiana. People would mistake it for Christina but it is pronounced Christi - ana

Mine is 15 (although I'm not the person you asked the question of!). We spell it with one "n" at the end.

She has many nicknames though, Ish, Bean, Beanie Marie (her middle name), Ishkabibble, Ishy Bean. DH & I always thought Ashlyn couldn't have a nickname - we proved ourselves wrong!!! :goodvibes

a friend of mine went to a nursing home. an elderly lady asked her her name.
friends name was Lisa Brazil. the old lady said "Lacey Virginia, thats a beautiful name". We laughed afterwards, but it really is a most beautiful name, she was right.:goodvibes

Some of my favorite names are Isabella, Gabrielle Ava and Anastasia. I really like the name Ainsley as well.

My daughter however looked like none of those names. She is an Alysia (which is the Greek spelling of Alicia-we're part Greek) Nicole (because it flows with the rest of the name). It suits her perfectly.

My favorite name is my daughter's name....Kaia. It is so original, yet not strange!!

Well of course

Tara (my daughter's name)
Emmaline (my cat)
Lily (my other cat)

Other girls names that I haven't used yet

McKenna
Sophia
Isabelle

Hey! My daughter is Emmaline. I love the name but my dh has never called her by her name. He will only call her Emma.
