What is the most annoying thing you have experienced another guest doing at Disney?

Also people who strip tables in CS restaurants of all the chairs so they can sit 9 round a table meant for 4.

Did you want the others in their party to stand? If they had taken a second table you still wouldn't have had a place to sit.

They should put them back when they're done though.

Said group then came running up with another leader who had paper FPs (this was before FP+) for all of them, and they were literally sprinting through the FP line with the CM there begging them to slow down and be patient. He apologized to those of us who couldn't get to the regular line because of their overcrowding and we ALL said "That's fine. We'd rather let them get through before we're in there."

Kind of same thing happened to me, except this was on Expedition Everest.

With 2 young kids, one of the little bonuses my wife and I get is to be able to jump on the single rider line (which IMO is the best/fastest SRL). She went first, but when she came back to relieve me, an entire group of female Brazilians entered the SRL...i mean there had to be at least 40-50 of them. I scurried on in, but was surrounded by them.

So there is me, 40 year old dude, in the middle of a pack of 16 year old Brazilian girls...all wearing white shirts. In any other situation, it may have been great, but I stuck out like a sore thumb and all of them we staring at me like whatever "***?" is in Portuguese.

Then one by one, they all started to hop the railing to be with their friends and I found myself at the very back of this 50 person SRL by myself.

I just gave up and left the line. Sad, b/c I never got a chance to ride it that trip.

I remember I used to be so stressed after reading threads like this thinking that my next trip would just be a huge battle with rude people, line cutters and parade pushers :rotfl:

I've had a couple of experiences with other guests doing annoying - or strange - things, nothing that would ruin a day but certainly things that have me going :confused3

One of my pet peeves is people using their phones during rides/attractions. One day we had a woman sitting in front of us on the front row at the Enchanted Tiki Room - she was on her phone, checking Facebook, for the entire duration of the show. Since she was on the front row, we couldn't help getting distracted by the light from her phone. On the same day we were behind a man on POTC who had a telephone conversation with someone the whole time we were on the ride. It was irritating but not a disaster - we just went right back on again - but I couldn't understand why he would bother going on the ride at all. Impressive signal, though!

The other thing I find annoying is people reciting the spiel in Haunted Mansion, Tower of Terror etc. Attention seeking at its worse - we get it, you've been on the ride before, but there are also people who haven't and you're not half as entertaining to those people as you think you are :rolleyes2

The last time we were at Disney, someone spat on my husband's foot - and he was in flip flops. The man was clearly just trying to spit on the ground, never noticed he hit a person instead. My husband was beyond livid - and won't even know who it was because it was a group who had walked by, and by the time the shock had worn off they were pretty far past us.

Last year we were in line waiting for POTC. We were in line behind a family that brought along their teenage daughter's boyfriend. My DH and I spent the entire time in line distracting our children so they did not have to witness the excess fondling of the girl by her boyfriend. The parents also saw all of this and never said a word to the couple. When we got to the boarding area, we asked the CMs if we could wait for the next boat. The CMs were very put out, but we had really had enough at that point.

Parade jumpers are the worst for me. The few times we have lined up early for parades or fireworks, we have been ambushed. People coming by at the last minute and just inserting themselves into our space. Or sending their kids in by themselves to sit in front of us, so we get moved back. Now our kids our older (and taller) and we don't line up early, we'll just view from wherever we happen to be when it starts. Much less stress, and usually a decent view anyway.

I also dislike ipads in the air and flash photos on rides.

I don't get all the stroller haters. When my kids were little, we needed a double stroller, and we carried our bags on it as well. It was a lifesaver. I've seen kids crammed into umbrella strollers and it looks very uncomfortable. Hard to push, as well.

Most people are ok but unfortunately it's the ones who are really rude that can stick with you and ruin your day. I am going to steal that expression, "feel the magic". Very funny.

I know different people and cultures use "topless" to mean slightly different things so I must ask. Do you mean the girl was just wearing a bra style top? In which case I don't see the issue, or was she naked from the waist up, in which case the CMs would surely have noticed and she would have been escorted out of the park.

She was naked from the waist up. She took her shirt off after our raft had pulled away from the station and was starting to go up the lift hill. Then, near the end of the ride, she went to grab her shirt out of the center storage bin and that is when she dropped it on the floor of the raft. My dad and I did tell a CM about it, but I do not know if any action was taken against her.

There was once an man, who also happened to be a dwarf, who was a CM at Disneyland, and his role was to sweep the streets. A bunch of loud obnoxious guys pointed out that he was a "midget" and laughed at him then forced him to take his picture with them. He was so embarrassed! And I was appalled. I went up to him and apologized for their rude behavior. I was 17, and I knew better. If it was today, I would have reported the group.

Another time, though this wasn't a guest, but a group of CMs, when I was about 8, a bunch of them barged their way through a busy crowd pushing/pulling a fully loaded over-sized drink cart. They knocked my mother out of the way and ran me over! I was in tears; No apologies offered.
It hurt enough that we went to the first aid station and filed a report. There was no reason to bash people out of the way like they're not even there, in a hurry or not.

Granted, this was in the early 1990's, and they are much friendlier now, but still....

I am surprised they let her ride.

When my oldest was about 5, I tried to get him on Splash Mountain. He ONLY saw the drop at the end, so he thought the entire ride was like that.

He didn't scream until he go IN the ride. They made us get out.

He rode it just a few months later and wanted to go again and again, but the CM wouldn't let us ride with a child who was afraid.

Dawn

Never, ever force a child onto a ride, who are you doing it for anyway? You can guarantee it's a selfish parent, the same sort who drag a tired and grumpy toddler around when all the little wants is a kip. When I first took DD to DL Paris she was 7 and refused to see the dragon under the castle or go on Haunted Mansion, I didn't see the point of wasting time and effort forcing her on, fast forward two years she went in on her own volition and loved both, but, it could have been so different if I'd forced her.

I think it's funny that you were outraged that they called him a midget and you called him a dwarf

I actually stopped posting for a while after getting sniffy posts from posters claiming that they never saw people using phones, lets alone inappropriately, in the parks. It and flash photos on rides are my bugbears as they affect others. So to all of you who put me down with my posts about people and cell phones, why did you feel the need to contradict me when you know full well I made a good and valid point.

Worst... On a full bus heading from MK to CBR. My daughter uses a wheelchair full time. She is unable to stand or walk. We always wait in the line for a bus. We are not in a hurry we are on vacation! Most times we get directed to a HC waiting spot. This night that happened. Well this lady went on and on and on about wheelchairs! She got on the same bus as us. She went on and on and on again.... her voice was loud the bus was stone quiet. I remember my DD looking at me with a sad face hearing the lady. My DS was about 10 and he was so hurt, listening to her rude remarks. I looked at each of them, shaking my head. When the bus came to ts 3rd stop she got off! Her final remark was "Bye wheelchair!" My only remark was "My daughter has a proper name and its Shavonne!" :headache: After she got off everyone clapped and started to chat. It was an awful experience for everyone.

This type of incident is ridiculous . I have no problem stopping people in their tracks with insensitive comments. No reason why it should have gone on and on in the bus. People need to stick up for one another. Sure people clapped, but it should have been them putting the lady in her place. In fact there is a place for her and it's not disney.

Sadly people often show no sign of even having sympathy when you get bullied on the bus. We had a fairly similar interaction on our way back to a hotel when my son was 18 months. He wanted to walk around the moving bus so he started crying. Some weirdo decided that was the perfect time to give a speech about how perfect his kids were because they never cried inappropriately and kept referencing that spoiled child and glaring at me. I WAS trying to calm him down... yes the situation sucked but he turned a stressful moment into a full on panic attack for me.

Last November we were at the last Finding Nemo show of the day at AK and there was a couple and their four or five year old daughter seated next to us. The little girl talked loudly through the entire show to the point we couldn't even hear what was actually being said on stage. Lots of people turned and gave dirty looks or shushed, but the parents acted like they didn't understand and even started carrying on a conversation at full volume with the little girl about halfway through.

Another time my mother was stopped in her ECV on the side of the walkway and a nine or so boy walked right into the front of it because he wasn't looking where he was going. His mother was angry at my mother and told her to watch where she was going. We had to laugh about that one after they left since she wasn't even moving at the time. But my mom was a bit frazzled because people kept stepping right in front of her and stopping suddenly, so she was afraid she really would end up hitting someone. Thankfully that never happened, but sometimes I wonder if some of the people complaining about the wild ECV riders are the ones that step right in front without paying attention. I know there are bad drivers out there, of course, but it's also important to look where you're going and not jump or walk directly in front of an ECV.

In the same vein, when we were at HS, we had a hard time getting through the bottle neck in front of TSMM because people weren't letting her get through in the ECV. Since she had to go slow in the crowd, people would just go around her and get in front of her and there was just no way to get through it. Thankfully one of the green army men saw what was happening and started to direct traffic for her and helped us through so it ended up being one of the highlights of the day.

This - We went in August for our last trip, and I understand that it is hot and people sweat, but YUCK. Between that and the lack of personal space, attractions like ITTBAB and Captain EO (with a giant holding room) make me queasy...:crazy2:

On behalf of some of us, I apologize. Can't believe I'm saying this, but I believe I am one of the people you're complaining of. I'm a heavy sweater, and once I start, my clothing looks like I've been swimming within a couple of minutes. In that situation, no matter how much deodorant you put on and how many baths you've taken, you are going to stink.

It was a difficult moment. I agree Disney is not the place for her!

Many years ago when my husband (my bf then) were on line for Kali Rapids in Animal Kingdom when we saw a South American women running with her 2 small children back from middle of the line back to the entrance. At first we didn't think anything of it and then we heard the whispering from people in front of us... As the line moved forward we noticed people moving sideways and there we saw it in the middle of the floor but a big pile of POOP... Yup someone told us the kids had to go so the parents pulled down their kids pants and let me poop on the floor .. And to make matter worse the dad waited in line while the mother took the kids to get cleaned up I guess... And of course my luck we would be on the same raft as them and all they did was talk loudly in their language and the rest of us gave them dirty looks the whole ride... We now go to disney with our two small sons and I rather them poop in their pants then do that... Some people have no class!!!

People swearing and arguing loudly in line is one of my biggest annoyances, and I bring this up, because, I was guilty of it and I felt horrible about doing so.

1 week removed from getting out of the military and a few months removed from a tour, my younger brother and I flew down to Florida to visit my dad. As we're getting in DHS, I stung myself with a Yellow Jacket when it landed on my neck. Obviously, went to the medical center, ointment, band-aide on the neck, off to ToT.

Well some people made comments, and still kind of being in angry mode all the time, I snapped and used some not so Disney friendly language.... with a mother and her DD standing not too far from us... I felt like crap after and apologized profusely to her for the next few minutes. She said she understood, but I knew she was annoyed.

I have never done it before and since, but I know how much it annoys me when I hear and see it, and I felt like a jerk when I did it.
