Curious for my daughter and her soon to be husband. They would be new members if they bought in. How much are points now? Thanks!!

I think the 75 point number is for Copper Creek, but I’m pretty sure If you already own points ( resale or direct)you can buy as little as 25 still, but you will not get the direct member benefits( if you bought resale after April 2016). You will have to purchase at least 75 points directly. I’m sure I’m a few days they will have plenty of points at the old resorts they will be glad to sell you too, but they will push Copper Creek and or Aulani since they have not sold out yet.

I found this list with "google"

The new prices, effective January 17, 2018, please see below:

Animal Kingdom $171
Aulani $182
Bay Lake Tower $191
Beach Club $185
Boardwalk $171
Boulder Ridge $171
Copper Creek $182
Grand Californian $235
Grand Floridian $220
Hilton Head $121
Old Key West $151
Polynesian $220
Saratoga Springs $151
Vero Beach $100

Minimum to buy at CC is 50 points if you’re already a member. And you’re right, I’m sure my Saratoga wait list is available now.

Just spoke to Ricardo regarding my waitlisted 25 points. Did not get the points but he said to stay on the waitlist I had to increase it to 75 as that is now the minimum for SSR and akv. No info on other resorts so draw your own conclusions.

Is that a minimum to add on, or to be considered direct? If it is the minimum to add on at all, then 25 point contracts are going to rise like crazy on the resale market and I am sad that I did not buy a few with the intent of just flipping them myself.

I really did not ask. Guess I should have but I did not even think about it. He just said that I had to increase my waitlist request to 75 as that was the minimum.
Maybe true or maybe an upsale as he knows I wanted the extras.

That’s interesting if that’s the new rule with adding on. Down the road I was considering adding 50 CC and 25 SSR for the direct membership since my SSR 25-point waitlist didn’t come through. The DVC site doesn’t mention this, but it also doesn’t mention that the minimum add on for CC is (was?) 50 points.

That is weird how he told you you need to raise it to 75. Did DVC change things and set a new minimum at 75 points? If they did, I agree the contracts under 75 are going to go up.

I thought the new-member minimum was 100 at CCV and 50 for current members. Did they reduce the new-member minimum to 75?

I have heard both. When I bought in at Copper Creek last April, they told me the minimum for a new member was 75. It may have changed since then.

Since he knew you were buying for benefits I'd guess he was just referring to that and not that one couldn't buy less than 75.

What I'd guess though is that the minimum for a non owner is now 75 for all resorts. Pretty tough to be willing to sell 50 points to a new buyer but then add that they won't be qualified for perks.

I agree. It just doesn't make sense why they would turn people's money away if they wanted to add just enough to add a night per year or something along those lines. It wouldn't surprise me if they also kept small add ons to resorts you already own at, but have no idea there.

Well I got a defanent answer today. Ricardo called to let me know that my waitlist came through( imagine that) today. He said even though it would not qualify me for benefits I could buy as little as 25 points. He recommended purchasing 25 at a time as I could afford them to get to the 75 point minimum.
Sorry for the bad info but this should make1 up for it.
