When I signed up my two favorite characters, the Cheshire Cat and Figment were both taken. But my personality has traits from both of them, so it was obvious.
Way back when I became a Tolkien fan I was surfing for a Elvish name generator. Couldn't find one but found a list of various Quenya and Sindarin suffixes and prefixes. Put two together and got my name. It means "Many Willows" in Quenya.
Lin = Many
Tasar= Willows
And added the e at the end to make it feminine.
My first name is Steph, and my last name begins with a D, so one day a long while ago I just started muttering things and "StephyDee" came out. I use it for a lot of places, but I vary them if I need to. I stuck with it because it has a lovely ring to it. Plus it's easy to say! haha
Uhm, years ago, some friends & I decided that blana meant "blah". So, we'd get the giggles whenever we'd say something was "So blana". It stuck in my head as a silly word....
Aisling is my first name. Dull, huh. The day I registered I was in a hurry and I couldn't think of a good name, so I just put my own name. I like the creativity of a lot of your DIS names.
My younger son who was 5yrs old at the time gave me the name Momvic...he combined my mom status with part of my first name. I just added the 5 for our family of five.
