What is the mac and cheese like? Did you kids like it?

I'm wondering if the standard mac and cheese offered on most of the dining plans kids menu is similar to the kraft bright orange variety or is it more homemade with larger elbow noodles and more of a creamy cheese sauce?

Do your kids generally like it?

Thanks!

It is pretty gross..very gummy and thick and processed tasting but the one at Fultons was very good!

The mac & cheese at Wolfgang Puck Express at Downtown Disney is very good. You can also order a side portion and add a salad for a nice simple meal.

Usually its the stouffer's stuff you can get as a TV dinner. The stuff at Chef's De France is also quite good and the stuff at Jiko. As well what PPs poster said about Fultons and WPE

My son loves macaroni and cheese but will not eat it in Disney World. It is very thick and creamy. I don't even like it

I have never ordered it at a CS but always take some on the buffets and liked it. I love mac& cheese though.

I love mac and cheese and didn't like it at the buffets. My oldest DD wouldn't eat it, my younger DD ate some.

Chefs de France mac and cheese was really good (although DD didn't like that either)!

I just had the mac & cheese at Cape May Cafe and thought it was very good. It was more like homemade than the blue box, which I also like.

I'm sad to say this was the one food item that disappointed us. My son has always loved Mac&Cheese and likes to order it when we go out to dinner. However, after trying it twice in WDW he gave up on it. He tried it at Liberty Tree Tavern in MK and Sunshine Season at EPCOT and both times he said it tasted funny and wouldn't eat it. After he complained I tried both and I had to agree with him. Hopefully you will find it much more appealing at some of the places other posters have mentioned.

My kids don't like the standard mac & cheese from the kid's menu (and neither do I). They are Kraft fans all the way. It is much creamier than Kraft and has bigger noodles. It has an excessive amount of cheese sauce on it which I find disgusting.

As an adult, I agree that the mac & cheese at Wolfgang Puck Express is really good however my kids don't like it. It isn't like Kraft either.

I agree with the Stouffer's comparison. It's more of an elbow mac with creamy cheese sauce (however Rainforest Cafe's was more sticky - kind of like the Velveeta quick cook kit). My DS 3 loved both varieties just fine.

I have to say, the Mac & Cheese at Cape May is AWESOME! I recently wrote for the recipe and it has to be the best I've ever tasted!!
I really dislike the standard stuff they serve at most of the Disney restaurants so this was a welcome change!!

The mac and cheese at The Biergarten is the best-tasting on WDW property. You can just taste the butter!!

I also enjoyed the mac and cheese at Big River Grille. It was made with real cheese and was not gooey. Lots of flavour and the portion size was quite large for a children's menu item.
