What is the least you have paid for a hotel near Disney

Well... this doesn't really compare to some of the posted deals, but in January 2002 we stayed at the Homewood Suites in Kissimmee (no longer a HWS location) for $59/night. This was a one bedroom suite with kitchenette, free breakfast, and "manager's reception" in the afternoon (essentially a light dinner/heavy snack with beer and wine). This was still during the post 9/11 travel depression.

When we wanted to stay there again in 2004 I negotiated heavily and got the same rate again at the same hotel. It wasn't fancy, but it was clean and a great short ride to WDW. Not sure what hotel it is now...............P

Last year we stayed at a motel 10 mins from disney for 23.00 got 2 rooms for 1 night. Next week we are staying at celebration suites for 56 a night 1 room 6 people 1 night only

Cheapest we stayed offsite Holiday Inn Nikki Bird/$65/night (1996), Comfort or Clarion Inn offsite $60 (1997), that ended offsite for us (lol)!!! Cheapest onsite: Pop Century/2004 or 2006 $85.

Back in early 2000's we routinely got the All Stars for $49/night plus tax - so about $57/night or so? That was pre-kids...so we could go for a week..flight, tix, room, food - for $1500 or so total!! Pretty sweet...

Christmas of 2011 stayed off site like maybe a mile from the WDW exit on 192 for $15 a night. There was a $5 a day resort fee but I was happy to pay that. We stayed 4 nights.

You must have been in the new section. We stayed there once and it was a MISERABLE experience. The old section, 2 bedroom, ground floor, echoed terribly and the people above us never slept! It was awful.

We got a two bedroom, two bathroom villa at Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa in August 2012 for $69 per night. The villa was HUGE and had a king bed and roman tub in the master bedroom, a full kitchen with a breakfast bar, full sized laundry facilities, flat screen TV's, and a screened in deck. The use of all amenities was included, too (mini golf, paddle boats, etc.).

We had to attend a timeshare presentation to get that rate but WOW, did we get a fabulous room (for 8 nights) for our 4 hours of misery!!! :rotfl:

$25 per night (plus tax) for four nights at the Marriott Courtyard on Hotel Plaza Blvd in DTD (now the Holiday Inn). This was over Columbus Day weekend in 2001.

Actually, since we had APs and never figured meal costs, we came in for a total of $513 including parking at Dulles Airport, Round Trip Air for two people, rental car, hotel, and minor other expenses

$338 (including taxes) for 7 nights in a large 2 bedroom condo at Wyndham Cypress Palms, June 2012, so $48 per night. This was a super sale through the Armed Forces Vacation Club ($299/week plus tax) and the gov't. version of the same website. I thought that was a great deal and WCP was very nice too.

$199 and a time share pitch at Vistana Villages a few years back for a 1 bedroom villa for 4 nights. The villas were pretty new and I signed up for the deal while staying at the Sheraton Boston. They also gave me 6000 starwood points. The timeshare presentation was 90 minutes and a decent breakfast with it. I already owned DVC and didn't buy but it's a tour I would do again if offered.

They had us take the tour the day after arrival and I said no to purchasing and no one bothered us after that.

2013 March stayed in a 3 bedroom 2 bath condo building 8 pool side at Windsor Hills for $65 per night

2009 stayed one night in December at Pop Century for $61

1996 paid $ 24 for one night at Days Inn Lakeside --- I had called the reservation desk and the guy quoted $40 a night and I said do you have anything cheaper and he said well tell me what you want to pay

I said $24 and he said o kay

BAck in 2007 we flew round trip from Flint Michigan to Las Vegas, had a car for one week and 7 nights at the Four Queens which at that time was owned by the guy who owned the Golden Nugget for $ 765 US all inclusive.

We are paying $68 a night at ASSports this coming January. I thought that was pretty good for onsite.

About 5 or 6 years ago SkyAuction.com had weeks for $149 with NO additional fees. We bought 5 of them and used them over a 3 year period. Typically you can only use them for 2 years, but they made some computer glitch and we were able to use them spread out over 3 years.

We got 2 bedroom condos for $21.28 per night.

I haven't seen a deal like that before or since. SkyAuction.com condos seem to run $299 plus a $20 processing fee for a week now. More than double. :headache:

We did the same except we had bought a condo the year before for around $300 and still had the $100 certificate off the next purchase attached, we stayed at Silver Lake for under $50 for the week.

Nice.

I gotta say, I am not very happy with the prices I am getting for SkyAuction condos right now. It has gone up significantly.

We do need a 2 bedroom though, and I know if we only needed a one bedroom it would be easier.

We had to buy up into a two bedroom for this trip. :/ came in at $329 for the week at silver lake. I know it is still a nice deal for a week in a two bedroom condo but stinks compared to last trip.

You are lucky.

Every "90 min." presentation I have ever been to lasted about 3 hours and was pretty high pressure.

Less than $30 at roadway inn on 192 across the street from celebration last month I checked in for 1 day before my reservations at animal kingdom because my flight was so much cheaper to fly in a day earlier not a bad motel for the money I was able to walk to everything close to a publix too so I grabbed what we needed for our stay at animal kingdom they also have a dollar rent a car on the property

We were in Building 500, just across from the Citrus Breeze pool and right next door to the mini golf, basketball court, tennis courts, etc. We had a beautiful view of Turkey Lake from our 4th floor balcony, and no noise issues from our neighbours above us. Our room was spacious, clean, and very well equipped. The decor was a tad dated, but that's just me being super picky. I have read some really bad reports of Westgate stays, but beyond the horrible timeshare presentation, the rest of our stay was fantastic.

For me personally, I think it was about $35 a night. Growing up, I know for several trips mom and day paid $19 a night for a Days Inn.

We paid $29 a night for a Days Inn in Orlando in June 2002. Still not many people traveling after September 2001. We've lucked out and found condos on VRBO and its affiliates for $40-60 a night. We are much more comfortable in a condo than in a motel/hotel room. It feels more like a vacation!

We paid $47 (could be less) at ASMU in 2002 with an airline employee discount. It was up to 50% off, it was a great deal, but, Disney no longer offers it. Miss the discount, not the airline job ;)
