Wondering if I should try to make other arrangements for getting our docs for the cruise. We're going to be in the middle of a move right before the cruise. Just found out today which airport I should actually book our flights from!

Our cruise is September 10th. We'll be making our "final" move on the weekend before - September 3rd. I can't remember from our last cruise how long before the big day the docs arrived.

Anyone know what our other options might be? I know that for last minute bookings, you can pick up your docs at the pier. Might have to see if that's an option.

Thanks!
Julie

Usually they arrive about 2 weeks prior. If for some reason you do not receive them, they do have everything you will need at the terminal. You would just miss doing the doc dance unless you do it at the terminal ;)

Our docs were mailed from DCL by 2-day mail on Friday, July 15th, and arrived on Tuesday, July 19th, our cruise leaves on August 4th. I think that was 16 days out?

If you used a TA, the docs are sent to your TA. He/she might be able to arrange an overnight delivery to an address you specify.

Docs come out 2-4 weeks before the trip. If you book air thru DCL, they seem to come out closer to the cruise. In 12 cruises, there doesn't really seem to be any other rhyme or reason to it.

If you booked directly thru DCL, I'd call them and ask about either overninght delivery of docs or picking up at the port. We've done the pick up at the port, and it is no big deal.

We book through a TA and our docs come directly to us. Usually 2-4 weeks before the cruise.

Thanks for all the replies. I do remember the docs came Fed Ex, so at least I know they won't get lost in the mail.

I feel much better now.. especially knowing that if I don't get them for some reason, I can just get duplicates at the port.

Thanks again!

Julie

We sail Aug 7th, recieved my DOC's Tuesday July 19th, 18 days before our cruise, some on our sail date have yet to recieve them.

We also had a couple in Italy that received their DOC's on July 18th, as they are are travleing to WDW before the cruise they requested a early mailing.
