While we're there, IOA will be closing at 8:00 pm. What is the latest time I can make a p.s. (or can I make an actual reservation there) for?

you will need to check with guest services for Mythos hours that day. Mythos hours can tend to be somewhat independent of park hours. I have always made my reservation 2 to 3 hours in advance and never had a problem.

What I meant was what is the latest time that we could get a p.s. to eat at Mythos when IOA closes at 8:00pm, like say at 7:45 or 8:00???

In my experience, the last seating is either 15 or 30 minutes prior to the posted closing time of the the park.

Hope this helps.

Do you know how far ahead of time I can make a p.s. at Mythos and if there is a menu posted on any website?

Mythos is fabulous! I'm not alone on these boards in saying that it's the best restaurant in any theme park anywhere.

And don't make the mistake of thinking it's a snooty white table cloth type of place. There are some superb and innovative dishes but you can also get a great burger or a pizza. The prices are very reasonable too.

And the desserts are to die for!

:sunny: was just there today 7/22/01 and asked about the closing time. In season, mythos usually closes one hour prior to park closing. Out of season which is sept - nov they may close as much as 3 hours prior to park closing. If park closing is at 6:00 pm they may close as early as 3:00 or even 2:00 pm depending on crowd flow. It is always best to call them at the direct number 407-224-4534.

Hint: If you order the Baked tomato soup with basil drizzel, ask for a small helping of clamata olives on the side. the taste of the soup with the olive is great!!!

be aware that the strawberry shortcake is no longer on the dessert list since we are not in season for strawberries in florida. It has been replaced by a fantastic peach cobbler made with fresh peaches and pecans. The dessert alone is worth a stop to mythos. :bounce:

how does that banana gooey cake go after solyent turkey legs???
