What is the furthest you have traveled without using a plane at any point on the journey?

Drove from Vancouver Island to Nova Scotia last year as we moved across the country. That was about 6500km (about 4000 miles).

As a kid, we did a trip from central New Jersey to Hutchinson Island, Fl. Two full days with a stop in South Carolina. 1150 miles, and after we all agreed to never try that again.

Never been on a cruise, although I'm thinking that can be pretty long.

I've gone on a family road trip from California to several national parks, although I can't be sure how much total distance there was. But that was pretty long.

The longest I've gone on any kind of shared transportation might be Seattle to home via Amtrak. I should have brought a pillow.

1400 miles one way, back and forth (so 2800 miles in 4 weeks time) 5 times in 5 years. We would drive home to Sacramento from Oklahoma every summer and then drive back. Can't say I'm in any hurry to see I-40 anytime soon.

I am thinking it must have been driving from coast to coast in the US.

If you are only asking about car travel I'd say from Bar Harbor Maine to Key West, Florida. Don't remember the actual miles.

International: Venice to Rome to Barcelona to Fort Lauderdale, Fl. Using trains and boat.

Car - 1/2 across US to visit family 1,500 miles - did this trip several times as a kid - brutal as I hate road trips father would not stop for hotel - drove straight through every time we did the trip

Had cousin who did California to Maine driving twice because he was moving - wouldn’t have wanted that road trip either 🤣🤣
