Inspired by Dave's post, what is the cutest, funniest thing your child has said about Disney? Last August during out stay we were headed out to the MK. It had been pouring. I had bought some cheap plastic rain covers, you know the ones? Clear cheap plastic. Well, my teens were unimpressed. They said that they felt like they were wearing sandwitch bags.

So my 15 year old (who had been seeing Bou-tiqued princesses all day) says as we were leaving the room:

"I am the sandwitch bag princess, and this is my dress" (Complete with flouncing)

As we were walking through the airport Emilie noticed a banner above the escaltors as we're going down. In her very Emilie voice she says (which is loudly), "Hey, look, Sea World. That looks fun. But, if it doesn't have Disney in the name my mom won't take me there."

Smart kid. She pays attention.

When Meggie was 4, we took her on her first Disney trip.

The first day was a whirlwind of Magic Kingdom fun. Putting her to bed that nght in the hotel, we had this conversation:

JAIME: Did you have fun today?

MEG: Yes.

JAIME: What was your favorite part of Disney?

MEG: [she thinks for a moment]... Dis.

LOL, my sentiments exactly.

oh just TODAY - we leave in 2 days!! - my DS11 was on the laptop looking a Pop Century pics, we go EVERY YEAR to Disney. And usually stay onsite mind you -

So he is looking at the pics and says very excitedly - MOM - look - here's the Pop Century room! They have TWO BEDS AND THEY HAVE DISNEY CHANNEL ON TV!!!! :confused3

what? You would think this kid doesn't own a bed or is able to see the Disney Channel at home. . .

And I say - Nicolas, EVERY hotel we stay at on property has TWO BEDS AND the Disney Channel on TV!

And he was like - what???? :rotfl:

My kid is weird. Must get it from his father. . .

Not really funny but very cute

My youngest is only 2 and a half and she can't name her colors but she can name every character from our 100plus dvd collection.

My other daughter was asked where she would like to go and eat to celebrate her kindergarten graduation and she said "lets go to disney and eat at the castle"

Keeping in the 2 yr old theme. My 2.5 year old is newly adopted from China and has a cleft lip and palate so he is not talking much yet. He doens't say many words, but we were at the doctor's office the other day and in the waiting room they started Peter Pan. As soon as he saw the castle logo he said. DISNEY!!!

We leave in 1 week for his first trip the world.

AWW that's too cute I hope your trip is magical!!!

Our son is a little over two and he LOVED it's a small world. We had to go on it over and over and over again or else he would get mad and cry. We went on it 20 times the last trip, no joke, we actually kept count.

Now the funny part. Now that we are back he will sing the song over and over and over again! He sings it first thing in the morning, and he sings it throughout the day and he sings himself to sleep singing its a small world.

Today he was at my moms house and she said that he sang it for 45 minutes straight before he took his nap! My mom was really relived when he finally fell asleep!

DH has taught DS 3 1/2 to say "hubba hubba" every time he sees a princess.

And DS thinks that the Bass Pro Shop by our house, with its "log" siding and green roof is "The Hotel" (VWL, where we own and always stay....).

We were visiting the Princess line of characters last year in toontown. My daughter 5 has always been a loyal Cinderella fan. We always sort of "joked" that our son 3 was a Belle kind of guy, since on his first trip to the world at 15 months old- Bell was the only character that he didn't cry when we met.

So in the princess line, my daughter goes up to Cinderella, and intends to profess her loyalty and dedication to her favorite princess, but instead says, "Cinderella. I'm your favorite princess!" Cinderella never missed a beat and replied, Of course you're my favorite Princess!" We all laughed and enjoyed the sweetness of the moment, my daughter not realizing she'd not gotten it out exactly right....

Then not to be out done in the cutness department - Belle was next and my son runs up to her, to profess his love and loyalty and says, "Belle- you're my Cinderella."

My little brother is almost two, and during our last trip in March he and I rode Dumbo together. In line he started saying "rainbow, rainbow" and I was very confused because I didn't see a rainbow anywhere. Turns out that was how he was able to say "Dumbo." He still says rainbow every now and then, which makes me really happy knowing that he remembers our trip.

:lmao: Too cute!

I love these stories. Could read them all day. Unfortunately i dont remember any funny/cute comments.

That would've been cute for 5 minutes, but 45?...that is heinous! I feel so bad for your mom! (two words: ear phones - for him, not you - when DD15 was that age, she also liked that song and I got it on a cd for her but would only play it on her little player so I didn't have to be subject to the horror)

My son (who is now 14) also loved SW when he was 2 and made us ride it over and over. Rest assured that you can blackmail him with your story when he's 14. :lmao:

Whenever it rains while we are in WDW, my DS (8) always says,

"It's okay... it's DISNEY rain!"
:lovestruc

DD's first WDW trip was when she was 3. We ate at 'Ohana on our last morning, and DD needed to use the restroom. I guess she never used or noticed auto-flush toilets before, because when she was done doing her thing and the toilet flushed, her eyes got big and she loudly exclaimed, "Mommy!! Even the potties at Disney World are MAGIC!!!" I could hear other ladies giggling as we headed out of the restroom- DD was just so excited about those MAGIC potties...

Not so much funny, I guess, as cute.

My then 10 yr old DS, leaving Epcot late on our Dec 2005 trip, said "I'm so happy, I feel like skipping". And we all proceeded to skip past the Yacht Club on our way to the Swan.

that is just too precious!!
