What is the facination with LeCellier?

we like steak, so LeCellier was a good choice.. it being very popular helped assure us that it was a good choice. i want the new coffee steak so that's why i'm going again.

It's 1TS credit for steak.

And I believe the Yachtsman Steakhouses requires 2 TS credits.

We have dined there many many times, and we had a wonderful experience each one of those times. However, I do feel it is a bit over hyped. But, we do keep returning, just because we do like it there.

It's 1TS credit for steak.

1) Pretty poor comparison.
2) I can get steak at Ponderosa or Sizzler.
3) Doesn't make it good or value-packed.
4) Cheap meat is cheap meat.

I liked the filet mignon with the shrooms and trufle sauce! YUMMMMMMM...I guess that since we usually go at slow times, our meals have always been tasty and intimate. Loved it! (going again in 2 1/2 months, so ask me again after that trip lol)

We had the best WDW service ever there last trip--and it was all thanks to Ilsa! We had 2 reservations (we were there for 2 weeks) and managed to get in there one time by luck. She was the best waitress and made us feel so special. Our kids learned more about Canada from Ilsa than they ever learned in their social studies classes!!

Ditto. I just don't get the hype. It was good when I went back in 2000, but I went a few times after that & it wasn't all that great. OK, but definately not great.

First couple of times I went, I didn't know it was an "in" place. Kept going back, bcause it was good!
We don't spend the money for "signature dibning", so for us, this is the best place in Disney!
Ate there last week.
Good Canadian beer, great cheese soup, pretzel bread, and a very good, but smallish, filet on a bed of risotto.
Contrary to one prior post, they don't bury the steak in musrooms.
And, the risotto is delicious.

You don't have an option for the people that don't care to eat there!

There are better steaks around property...there are MUCH better steaks back home. If someone in our party wants to go, we try to get an ADR but it's definitely not make or break for us.

I forgot to put that, and now I can't find a way to edit the poll. I figure there are a ton of people who don't care to eat there (including me), so I mainly want to find out what is motivating all the people that DO want to eat there. I personally won't go back for a while because I don't want to take an ADR away from someone who REALLY wants to go there. I am curious to find out how many people only want to eat there because of the hype. I thought there would be a lot more who are only trying to get in because of the hype. It seems to be one of only a few restaurants where some people really seem to be heartbroken when they can't get an ADR.
