What is the dumbest thing you've ever done at Disney

The dumbest thing I've ever done is to wear a brand new pair of shoes! I had blisters on my blisters and my feet wouldn't talk to me for a month afterwards. LOL

Mine was thinking that Disney was the place to be on NYE. Never again!

I recently fell on my face in front of all the folks at the flag ceremony. I was walking up to watch and clipped the edge of my shoe on an uneven piece of pavement. The next thing I knew, I was on the ground. Funny thing, not one person except DD came over to see if I was okay. So, I picked myself up and took my scraped up knees and hands home. I felt pretty silly!

I was walking to the bus stops outside of the MK, looking backwards trying to read a sign. Ran full-frontal into a gentleman who also wasn't looking where he was going. Embarrassing contact to have with a complete stranger!

I did the shoe thing as well when I was a teen, and ended up picking up a pair of shoes at the China pavillion in Epcot. But I would say that they dumbest thing I have done is going to WDW with basically no planning. Just getting up every morning and discussing where we were going over an hour long breakfast, then wandering into the parks about 10 or 10:30. No rhyme or reason, and didn't even know what attractions we wanted to see! :sad2: We didn't even hit Adventure Land or Frontier Land last time. I have learned my lesson though. :thumbsup2

I got this strawberry drink all over my new light cargo shorts in epcot...ekk!
Imagin me in a dim bathroom in japan grasping at paper towels and my tide stick!

There's a joke here somewhere, but I'm not gonna make it!

This just happened a few weeks ago - LOL!!

We were in that building off to the right at Epcot (is it Innoventions?) where they have the computer games and the Smoke/Fire safety house? Right next to the Smoke house game - there was a little layout with different rooms set up and a CM was talking to some kids about fire safety - we wandered thru the house - and my dh opened up a little cabinet which we thought was part of the house - it looked like a fuse box and I was thinking they were showing how to label stuff/etc - there were all sorts of handwritten notes designating what was what - and I was thinking - "wow - that looks really messy with all that scribbled handwriting" but still thought it was somehow part of the "realistic" part of the display - so we reached over and flipped a few switches - to see what would happened - and the lights dimmed and the CM said "whoa - what's going on?" - and we just about DIED from embarrassment! It opened right up to the public - DUH! LOL WE tried to apologize and explain that we thought it was part of the display - LOLOL - then we slinked away and laughed till we cried and my girls were horrified at us since we always tell them not to touch stuff.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: That one made me LOL!

Grad Nite in '84... I was standing there talking to a couple of friends and telling them where we needed to go and pointing toward the Hall of Presidents. Well, my finger poked straight into this girl's "chest". Very embarassing moment!

Okay, this is too funny!!!! Imagine being able to switch Epcot on and off. That sounds like something I would do. I would flip a switch and Spaceship Earth would suddenly go dark. "Zzzzap"

:lmao: :lmao:

I have 2 of them

1) 1989-90 South Miami Jr High/Sr High Wrestling Teams trip to Disney World.
Long story short, Mickey ended up in a fountain. They asked us to never return. It was kinda funny though; the only thing that kept poor Mickey afloat was that big head of his. I guess you had to be there.

2) 1991-3ish, a few friends and I decided to take a weekend trek on our own to WDW (and I remember with the FL resident discount tix were $35!). Well, we weren't the best kids in the world, although we really didn't get into a whole lot of trouble. We were riding the Skyway across the MK and we lit up some "wacky tobacky". About halfway through we noticed a buncha security looking folks on the ground "following us". We paniced. So, we ate the rest of our stash. Well, no one was following us... And we were all a little green in the face for a while. It's now a "hey remember when..." story. Funny stuff.

One trip we carried our ponchos every day just in case of rain. Our last day there was bright and sunny. No one had looked at the weather report. Yes, you guessed it we left the ponchos in the room. By lunch it was pouring. We broke down and bought new ponchos. Like magic the rain stopped.

We got in our car one year when we were staying at the CR. We decided that we would drive to MK and park there. :rotfl: Man did we feel stupid when we realized that there is no parking lot at MK. We ended up driving back to CR, parking again, and riding the monrail!

oh my goodness! I'm laughing so hard, yet I'm starting to get this evil thought of "Wonder if I can find that box...."

Oh wow....this one sure is easy for me. About 4 years ago, and as a single mother at the time...I took my two sons to Disney World. I believe they were about 10 and 6 at the time. We were back in Frontierland and the boys were shooting the little guns at the targets (can't recall the name). I was sitting on a bench there watching them when my cell phone rang. I recall it was something very important (regarding my job) so I had to answer it. Apparently I put my fanny pack (more like a tiny purse that you can wear over the shoulder or at the waist) down on the bench to get the phone. When we walked away, I thought I had put my strap back across my shoulder (it was a very lightweight item). About 20 minutes later while shopping I realize that I do NOT have my little pack on me!! I was terrified. I went backtracking with my boys...we had walked thru 3 shops..around the castle...etc...you name it. I asked all the CM's if they had seen it...no one had seen a thing. I sat down...cried for second when I realized what all was in it. My room key (with charging privileges), my credit card, my drivers license, my rental car keys (with the tag number on it) and some cash (maybe $75 or so). I thought how will I get new keys to this rental...how will I fly without my ID....OH MY GOSH..what had I done!! I was almost nearing the edge of hysteria....when I decided to go BACK to the shooting place.

There sitting on the same bench where I left it...was my little black bag. A thousand people had walked right by it..not a thing was missing. I got so weak I almost passed out. I truly believe my guardian angel was watching over me that day...or I would have been in a big mess.

That was my dumbest ever.....(and hopefully my last...)
