What is the Dinasour ride?

Just wondering. Is it a coaster or some other kind of thrill ride?

DINOSAUR is a ride-through in a vehical that moves like a simulator. It's sort of hard to explain, but it's sort of a ride like Haunted Mansion in a vehical that jerks you around like Star Tours. Primevial Whirl is a coaster that's part of the Dino-Rama Carnival area.

It's like the Indiana Jones ride at DL. It's a motion simulator vehicle that rides on a track through a building. The special effects are amazing, but it is bumpy and can be kind of loud at spots. It does not go off the ground. In fact, the vehicle pretty much travels on a flat surface, but the cars themselves bounce up and down and tilt at weird angles.

Or, if you're like my kids, the dinosaur ride is the one in EPCOT. It's Ellen's Energy Adventure. I'm not sure if it's still there, but my kids called it that when they were younger.

We loved this ride (39 & 45 yrs old) !!! Rode it several times actually. It's pretty dark, dinosaurs jump out at you, moves pretty fast and jerky... Your picture is taken about 3/4 of the way through the ride, too.... We purchased ours- it was pretty funny!

It is an indoor dark ride like Snow White and Winnie the pooh but on a much larger scale. The ride vehicals are 12 passenger jeeps that move forward along the path through the ride but also bump, rock and lurch around so it feels like you are in a 4 wheel drive jeep going over rough terrain. The path also goea up and down hills though they are not large hills. The cars occaisionally stop to view a scene, go slow through some scenes and go fast some times. The scenes are often lit very low with dinosaurs lurching out of the dark and meteors hitting the ground in the distance. There are some calm scenes, medium action scenes and a couple fo loud scary scenes with a chaotic loud ending.
