What Is The Difference In Burgers At...

Cosmic Ray's and Pecos Bill? I have been at Cosmic Ray's twice but not Pecos Bill. It seems that the vast majority of people on these message boards rave about the Pecos Bill burgers but not the Cosmic Ray's burgers. I always here about the Pecos Bill topping bar but Cosmic Ray's has a very good toppings bar as well.

Is there a difference or am I crazy? Am I missing out on something. Thanks.

Personally I don't see any difference, and the toppings bar at Ray's is better. (They had hot peppers.)

In my opinion, the burgers at CR and PB taste exactly the same.

I liked them both the same. Everyone was raving about Pecos Bill's, so I made it a point to eat there last time. I preferred Cosmic Ray's because it is easier to find a seat for Mom's wheelchair.

I personally don't see a difference either. Actually the last time I was at Pecos Bill's, they were very dry and not all that great. I don't use the topings bar much, but I think the one at Cosmic Ray's is a bit more easy to get around (a bit more open feeling). In the end, I think they are pretty much the same to me.

I do not see any difference....all the burgers at CS places in WDW taste the same.

Cosmic Ray's and Pecos Bill's taste the same to us. And pretty much all the CS burgers taste the same. The places with fixings bars are better than those without. DH likes the atmosphere at Pecos Bill's better than Cosmic Ray's but not enough that we'd hike over there if we were closer to Ray's at lunchtime!

I think they are both the same. I just like the atmosphere at Pecos Bill's better. JMO..I've never raved about the food at either place. We always eat at PB's, probabley due to the fact that we spend more time on that side of the park. It's just become another one of those weird WDW traditions that you have as a family. It's not like I would say to anyone "you have to go to PB's for a burger...they're to die for!"

I don't know why, but the burgers at both locations usually taste better to me than any of the others. Not to say that Cosmic Ray's burgers aren't good, but, they are not a stand out either. JMO Maggie

I wouldn't go that far. Certainly the fast food burgers in the parks are pretty much the same. But the burgers at Beaches & Cream are quite different.

Another burger observation I noticed (not at Ray's or PB's - didn't eat at either one), but in years past the double cheese burger could easily be shared. My sister and I would oftn get the double cheeseburger and each take a pattie and half a bun - plenty of food. Now in most (not all) of the counter service locations in which we ate, the double cheeseburger patties are thinner and "glued" together essentially making it impossible to separate them. Not earth shattering news but Disney must have decided that burger sharing was just too easy.

We ate at both in May and we dissappointed in both. After reading so much about the toppings bar and the burgers, I found them to be dry and over cooked. I was expecting a toppings bar similar to the one at Fuddrucker's (cheese sauces, pico de gallo, etc). It was really just lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, peppers and muschrooms. None with any real flavor and didn't help out the burgers. We prefered the chicken/ ribs at Cosmic Ray's. Hope this helps. Have a great trip
