BRV has the health club located in that building. The lobby at BRV might be a bit smaller, but it has some real special enhancements, like the wood carvings along the edge of the ceiling line and the Carolwood Pacific Railroad room with the games and fireplace. A very nice room to sit and read or meet with a small group.
The other issue is the size of the rooms. CCV rooms tend to be smaller; both the one bedroom and studio are a hard four. BRV has beds for five in the studio with the addition of the murphy bed under the television. The one bedroom only has beds for four, but if you are a DVC member staying on points, you can book five in the one bedroom. You just have to provide your own sleeping space like an air bed, plus the bedding. The kitchen in BRV in the one and two bedroom villas is a separate space while the kitchen in the one and two bedrooms at CCV is a galley kitchen that you must walk through to get to the living room. It's like a kitchen/hallway.
