What is the difference between Believe and Shamu Rocks

I am not sure what the difference is. Should we try to see both (they are both operating the day we plan on going. Thanks!

Shamu rocks is very different than believe, believe is supposed to be more inspirational, about the connection between the trainer and the whale. some say corny, others really like it.
Shamu rocks, is more rock music and upbeat. I personally think it is the better show, however you will see many of the same behaviors in both shows.

I saw both shows (and I can post pictures if you like). Believe is a show that fits with the afternoon theme of inspiring shows. Shamu Rocks is a show that's basically just Shamu showing off all the things he can do, set to rock music (not heavy duty rock, but family friendly rock).

I've seen both shows.
Believe is so emotional it had me in tears and im usualy a tough nut! It's all about the connection between humans and the sea. Its soo touching, you can clearly see the love and tust between the trainer and Shamu.
Shamu Rocks livens up the night. Its very loud and there's a lot of dancing. Bubbly and fun !!

They stopped doing Shamu rock during off-peak season. For now they only have two believe shows one at 1pm and one at 5:30p ish.

They'll probably bring it back next summer? I know during Christmas, they have a Christmas show.

We are planning on going on Halloween night and the last time I checked there was a Shamu Rocks schow scheduled for that evening.

We were there this past Sat, and they did offer Shamu Rocks. We did not stay for it as we had a 9 hour drive to go home, so I can't compare the shows. I can tell you that the Fri Believe show was nice, but the Sat one was much more involved, and had more tricks.

Me and my family thing Believe is HORRIBLE they rarely use animals in the show. It is hard to explain but its like an interperation kind of show. I think it is so dumb and Shamu Rocks is DEFINATLEY your better choice.

except when my family and i went shamu wasnt cooperating shamu and the baby were just swimming around the pool and they couldnt get them to stop so he couldnt do the finishing act, it was actually quite funny

Well, I guess the old saying is true - "never work with children or animals".

I love Shamu Rocks because it is upbeat and makes you leave the park in a good mood.

They still do Shamu Rocks on sat. and sundays. I like it a lot more then Believe. Believe is about "believe that you can do whatever you want to... blah blah blah..." where Rock is about music. But both shows are worth watching!

I have to disagree. I personally was let down by Shamu Rocks. Don't get me wrong it was good but I much prefered believe. You can really see that beautiful connection between the two. But i'll shut up now. Thats just my opinion.

To me their both worth seeing and word of advice try to get to Shamu rocks very early cause usually there is only one night show.

as for Believe about 40-30 min prior for a good seat is a good idea. they have little things on screen to make the time fly by

well cause Shamu Rocks is a one time show for that night- 45-50 minutes would be at best if you want really good seats, cause once Se lions tonight closes a stampede of people are lining up at the gate and the line which i have seen can stretch around the stadium..

As a mom of little ones (ages 6 and 4) we definitely prefer Believe! Shamu Rocks was way too loud for my girls and they did not enjoy it at all which was soooo sad because they LOVE Shamu and Believe!

How long ago did you see Believe? It was changed and is actually much better than the first year they did the show. I didn't like it the first year but now try to see it a couple times every time we go and we go just about every month.

Any time an animal doesn't want to cooperate they can't do all the show because the well being of the animal always comes first. When a "Shamu" has a baby they don't actually do the show for several days or weeks and the mom and baby get the big pool to themselves for just swimming around. They usually only tell you a few things about the baby etc. then.
One Saturday in Feb. when we were there none of the trainers got in the water with the whales for the 11 AM show, but at the next show all the dives and riding on the whales "tricks" were spectacular.

Difference between Shamu Rocks and Believe? Loud music, more dancing, live rock music(guitar), more whales out splashing the crowd for longer time, more relaxed atmosphere, and generally a fun time in the stadium. Try to see them both if you can.

What about Mistify has anyone seen that show? Is it worth it? I assume its the last thing they do before the park closes. I'm going in June and the park closes at 10p.m. so I'm assuming that all the night shows will be running.
