What is the current price for SSR?

I am hearing of people paying different prices for SSR. When we bought we paid $89 pp and got a $5 rebate for an $84 net. Now I thought I heard prices had gone down. Can anyone elaborate?

the price hasn't gone down. It is $95 per point (I think with a $10 buyback option) so that's $85 per point last I heard.

We just bought in Nov. It is $95 per point with a $10 off per point promotion. So we paid $85 per point. But, we can't use the points till after May. When "our" building opens up. We have a June use year. Also no dues till May and no payment on your finance till May.
We had no problem with this because we didn't plan on a trip till the fall. It was worth it for the discount.

We were at SSR monday and were offerred the exact pricing listed above $95.00 per point, with $10.00 per point "rebate," net of $85.00 per point.

It was specifically stated to us, and I clarified, to make sure what was being said was the same as I was understanding, and I quote, "anyone who has purchase from DVC before you has paid the same per point or less, and those who purchase after you will pay the same per point or more."

In the past, the Magical Beginnings discount was only good on purchases of 100 points or more and they would let you finance 50 points or more. Not sure if that still holds today.

DVC has offered various programs. SSR pre-construction (8/03 - 10/03) prices started at $89 per point when the other resorts were at $84. However they offered a developer's credit of $10 per point, so you paid $79. As with all of the resorts this has been the best deal for SSR.

Then in 11/03 the developer's credit was reduced to $5, yielding $84 per point. Then in 3/04 the developer's credit was replaced by Magical Beginnings where you paid $89 per point but could turn in your first year's points for a credit against the purchase price.

In May 04 the price was raised to $95 per point. I believe they have been running Magical Beginnings, II vacation or APs at various times as incentives over the summer and fall.

$89 pp received a $750 credit (reducing it to $84). We kept our points for 2004. So is the only perk SSR offering the $10 credit if you buy phase II? Do you get to keep your 2005 points too?
