What is the craziest DVC split time between resorts that you have one on one trip?

:cool1: Just curious....how many splits between DVC resorts you have done and why?

We did our first DVC split this past Aug. with 5 at SSR and 3 at BCV. We did it because I wanted to try BWV. This trip in July we are splitting OKW and BCV....5 nights at each with 3 days at a St. Pete resort inbetween.

We have only done a split between SSR and OKW. I'm not into changing resorts. It takes WAY too much time out of my vacation. If I want to stay at a different resort, I'll do it on a different trip. The only reason we split SSR and OKW is because we needed to add a studio night before a GV stay at OKW, and by the time we added it, only SSR was available.

It's coming up in a couple of weeks

March 4 - OKW studio
March 5- ? waitlisted for OKW studio
March 6-10 - going to visit friends near Tampa
March 10- SSR studio
March 11 and 12 OKW 2 BR

Just added the 4th and 5th on Thursday so feel lucky to get even one night. Only other option was 1 BR which we don't need for the two of us and am hoping the 5th will come through and won't have to borrow points if it does. If it doesn't we will just have to find something offsite or head over to the Tampa area a day early. While we don't like changing resorts either it just worked out this was this time.

well this next trip is BWV 2 days, then AKV 2 days.

first did it because couldn't get BWV - but when could get BWV - realized how much loved my first stay at AKV.

my worst was OKW - 1 day, BWV - 2 days, VWL - 1 day - won't do that one again.

In May were doing 5 night BWV then 2 AKV but in Dec it's 2 nights BCV, 3 nights BWV then 6 nights OKW.
On moving day we have bell services do a luggage transfer, walk or cab to the new resort, check in then head to a park. It's also easier for the shorter stays to have a seperate small bag packed for the few days instead of unpacking /packing large bags several times.

Well I just solved our 3 way split between OKW, going to St. Pete for 3 nights and then back to BCV. I decided to not do the St. Pete part....and was able to rearrange my days to best fit my DVC points. SO now with the help of two really great cash ressies at OKW for weekend nights...we are now staying at OKW for 7 nights followed by 6 at BCV. I can't wait. :cool1:

this July 4 nights AKV, 4 nights SSR, 4 nights VB. Just looking to try AKV & SSR Vb we did and love but only had one of the kids with us. this trip will be all 3 kids.

I do the snowbird thing.
This trip: all 6 WDW DVC's, 2 Hilton timeshares, 4 Marriott timeshares, and 1 Worldmark timeshare.

On our first trip 'home' back in 01 we did 4 nights BCV, 4 nights VWL, 4 nights OKW with all 3 kids - we all really enjoyed this, because it gave us a real 'feel' for each resort since we couldn't decide which one to stay at! Now we're doing a split stay at AKV and OKW, but only because the kids have never been to AKV, and the family favourite is OKW.

Ours is coming this April and it's a doozy! One night in AKV, 3 nights in BWV, 1 night in HH, 1 night in the Charleston Place from Concierge collection!

I can't even imagine how I'm packing for this one! We usually never move around, but since it's just me and DH, we decided to go for a change!

We hope to spend day one in AK Park, days 2,3,4 in Epcot, resort hopping, DHS, day 5 in Savannah/HH, Day 6 & 7 in Charleston! I am sooo looking forward to this vacation and doing some running around, been on the slow track too long, due to unforeseen, out of my control circumstances!

:cool1:

Last NYE we did 2 nights at WLV and then 7 at SSR. That was fun but it felt like the first 2 days were just prepping me for the real trip.
this summer is CRAZY...now mind you we're going for 19 days so that helps but I am still a little nervous...6 nights at AKV Savannah view, 5 nights BCV, and then 8 nights at OKW near HH....I know it will be fun and we have premium annual passes so we can do what we want when we want.. A little nervous as it is just me with my two kids but we will do it...I will let everyone know how it goes...and we have activities booked....Wonderland Tea Party, Pirate Cruise...

My craziest is coming up in April/May. I'm not changing resorts, but I am changing rooms. They're all at DAKV-3 nights in a standard view, then 2 nights in a value view, then 2 nights in a savannah view. I want to find out the differences first-hand. Although I'm leaving out concierge, I've got my fingers crossed for 3 days in a concierge studio in October.

First time we stayed at DVC, we stayed 7 nights OKW and 4 nights BWV.

The next stay was actually our first trip home as owners. We stayed 8 nights SSR and 6 nights BCV with a 5 nights in between at The Keys.

We always split our stays, because we like to try different resorts. If we are going to go to the trouble of checking out, we usually leave WDW and do something else in Florida. Then we come back home!:goodvibes

This year will be the most moving around that we have done. We will start out 11 nights BWV, 5 nights ? (at this point), 2 nights AKV, 2 nights VB. My husband usually hates to move, but he really wanted to try AKV and he has been wanting to go to The Kennedy Space Center for years.

Although I'm a big fan of moving resorts within a vacation, this is extreme even for me!!

I had a "last minute" opportunity to take my daughter and her friend to WDW for their Spring Break. When I called, I realized it was going to be hopscotching around the property or off-site. So, we have a 1BR DVC villa for each of our six nights - one each at AKV, VWL, and BWV (and I'm currently having to pay cash for that one!) then 3 nights in a row (whoo hoo!) at SSR. I feel lucky to have gotten the reservations at all.

Update!!!! My waitlist cleared for the night at BWV, so now I'm staying 4 nights in a row at SSR and not having to pay cash for any of my nights - what great news!!!!! My current schedule is one night at AKV, one night at VWL, and 4 nights at SSR. I am waitlisted for a 1BR at SSR for the first night - I had to take a 2BR because it became available first. I'd rather pay the extra 9 points than the cash price of over $600!!!!! I hope that waitlist clears and I can have 4 nights in a 1BR at SSR - that would be ideal!!!

We stayed at OKW in a 2BR for 4 nights in November of 2007. We had 4 adults and 3 kids in that party and we moved all of our stuff ourselves because we had food.

We then switched to the Grand Villa at SSR for the next four nights. Two more adults joined us there, for a total of 9 of us.

The only reason we did this was because I wanted to have enough points to also book a studio room for some other family members during our trip. We originally had the Grand Villa booked for all 8 nights, but switching to a 2BR for the early part of the trip saved us points and allowed us to have other family members join us for free.

Plus we also got the chance to try out the dining plan (paying for 4 nights of that was easier than paying for 8) and that was pretty nice.

Dec '06 - Jan '07

1 night @ POR, 2 nights @ Coronado and 5 nights @ Contemporary

We used points for all of it - I was pregnant and not feeling, but it was our 1st xmas holiday trip ever, my 1st birthday trip, and our last WDW trip together as just the three of us as our baby prince was born in July!

Tiger :)

We had an intentionally split 5 night trip between OKW and VB and then DD broke her arm less than a week before the trip. We decided that extended beach time would not be very fun for her since she was still in a full cast that could not get wet, so we switched to just one night at VB and went to SSR for the remainder of the trip. 3 resort changes in 5 days was a little much.

Last July we did 1 night at BCV, then a 3-night cruise, followed by 5 nights at SSR. It was hectic, but definitely worth it!! :cloud9:
