Ok ~ I have read all the links that were sent to me and .........

I'm not sure I get it :eek:

I am interested in (resort) for (dates). Looking at the points chart is it 104 points? If so then that is (using $10 per point) $1040 then I have to add dining and park passes. Is that correct?

Please someone help me understand :worship::worship::worship:

EDIT: This post, and the posts below, have been edited to remove resort and date specific info. Edits appear in Brown.

If you are planning on staying in a Studio, checking in on (date)(Saturday) and checking out on (date) (Saturday) then your points for the week would be 108 (18pts for (date), 12pts each night Sunday (date)-Thurs (date) then 18pts for Fri (date)) At $10 per point, that would be $1080 plus the cost of dining and park tickets Now if you plan that same vacation paying cash to stay at (resort), your cost for the room would be somewhere in the vacinity of $2065 + tax ($295 per night) plus dining and park tickets. The cost of renting the points ONLY covers the ROOM. Dining and park tickets and shows and travel are all extras. Understand though that once you stay at a Disney Deluxe Villa resort like (resort) I double-dog dare you not to fall in love with the place and want to stay forever:)

That is what I am afraid of ~ lol ~ I will fall in love and never want to stay elsewhere :lmao:

Thank you for your help!

60 = 12 x 5 weeknights

96 pts

at $10 per pt = $960

the rest i agree with.

that would be for a studio room with 1 queen bed and 1 sofabed. there would be no housekeeping for the week but they would provide new towels and take out the trash on day 4.

So do I have to wait until we are 11 months out before trying to find points to buy?

No, you could forming relationships/agreements with DVC owners at any time. Keep in mind that you are not buying points but renting them from another individual. The earliest that individual can book, as owners, is 11 months from check-in at their home resort. You might need some time prior to that window to locate a suitable owner and iron out the details of your rental agreement.

According to my DVC Planner iPhone app, you will need 96 points for that (resort & room info) for that 7-night stay.
