What is the charge for MK?

I don't think it would be any different for a renter than for a member. It depends on the size of the room, and whether you want a full cleaning or just trash and towel service. Here's the latest, from DVC.com

Additional Full Cleaning Rates:
Studio/Inn Room - $30.00 per day requested
One-Bedroom - $45.00 per day requested
Two-Bedroom - $60.00 per day requested
Three-Bedroom - $75.00 per day requested

Additional Trash & Towel Rates:
Studio/Inn Room - $15.00 per day requested
One-Bedroom - $20.00 per day requested
Two-Bedroom - $25.00 per day requested
Three-Bedroom - $35.00 per day requested

Also:

With Pay As You Play service, you'll be provided with the following amenities free of charge at the start of your stay. After that, you may purchase more for the following fees:

Toiletries Package, $5.00 - 1 facial soap, 1 bath soap, 1 shampoo, 1 conditioner, 1 shower gel
Coffee Package, $3.00 - 1 package of coffee, 8 sugars, 8 creamers, 8 artificial sweeteners
Towel Package, $6.00 - 4 bath towels, 2 hand towels, 4 washcloths, 1 bath mat
Laundry Detergent (only in One-, Two-, and Three-bedroom Vacation Homes), $1.00 - 1 box

I hope this helps! :)

Before we became members we didn't like the idea of not having daily room service. Now we don't want any service. If we have trash, we drop it off on our way out and other items are available for a small fee or free. Not having someone else in our room when we are not there is nice too.

Frankly, in 12 years of membership, I've only paid for an extra cleaning once, and that was in January when we had guests leaving and different guests coming on the same day. I paid for a full cleaning, and I was VERY disapointed with what I got for my $60. If you are in a 1 bedroom or larger, you have a laundry in your room, so no need to worry about extra towels. We usually throw ours in the dryer after our showers in the morning, and when we get back, they are ready to use for the next shower. I have no problem making my own bed, since it is my habit to do that as soon as I hop out at home, and I easily do the same at Disney. Besides....I HATE how they tuck the top sheet and blanket in WITH the bottom one so it comes loose when you pull the top things out. I usually remake the bed before we get into it the first night so that isn't a problem. I do know how to put mitered corners on the bottom sheet so it doesn't come off, and housekeeping seems to know NOTHING about how to do that!:confused3

One of the things I love about DVC is not having someone come into my room everyday! Even when I travel on business I usually leave the Do Not Disturb on my door so I don't have housekeeping come in my room while I am out. I usually only have them come in when I need new towels.

If I want to order an extra set of the towels, do I do that at check in?

Whoa!!! I was so confused! MK = Magic Kingdom at first to me. I was going .."Magic Kingdome come to your room???" huh??? wow!!! what a perk!!
