my two boys like to collect the pins.. they love trading them with the disney employees in the park, and even have traded some lanard pins for something they like.

although i wish i could stop them, they are just pins so let them have fun.

my question is how is the best way to store the pins besides the pin necklace. is a book or bag better?

thanks

2 of my kids have the binder type of pin book. My youngest has the pin trading back pack. Both work great, but I think the book holds more pins. When we were at Disney in October, they ran out of books as we were trying to buy another one. I hope they were just out and not discontinued.......No one seemed to know. We let our kids play with the pins also, they have so much fun!

Do you bring the old pins back each time or not? We don't, so here's what we did:

Bought a 12 x 30" wood frame, painted it white, stenciled mickey heads on the edge. Inserted a piece of cork with a light blue quilting over it (Blue is my DD's favorite color) and now we have our own cork board. She seperated it into 3 sections with a ribbon to divide and now has the pins for each trip arranged in one of the sections. Each time we buy soemthing with the date. We than stick the pins in, no backs needed.

Just an idea

If you don't have very many, you can buy felt squares at a craft store, pin the pins on and roll them up. This keeps the fronts from getting scratched. I don't trade, just buy what I like and wear them on my shirt, bag or hat, but I do bring them all each trip and switch out what I wear from day to day. I was using the felt method until our last trip, when I finally just got too many pins to deal with. I broke down our last day and bought one of those padded "pin trading" bags with the felt pages inside. I'm going to organize them in that and then use the bag to transport my pins next time we go.
