I am getting ready to book our May 2014 WDW vacation, staying at the WL.

What is the best way to book? Online? On the telephone with Disney direct?

I am not a member of AAA and not sure of a travel agent. I have a great deal of travel booking experience and like to research and find the best deals for our trip and budget. Therefore I would not use a travel agent.

Does it really make a difference if I book online at disney.com or by calling Disney?

It doesn't make a difference. The website has been pretty screwy lately, so is probably call and book to be on the safe side.

Check Travelocity & Orbitz codes that have been

posted here on several forums (search).

Codes keep changing .

With those promo codes you can save in addition

to what you see @ Disney site.

You will have to pay in full to book.

As the pp said, it doesn't make a difference whether you book online or call. I like to price things out online and then call to book, but that's just my personal preference.

Completely agree! Especially for a 1st trip, it's way more 'magical' when you call. Plus they'll note that it's your 1st visit on your res. & you'll get a button when you check in. I loved using the (old, reservation landing) website to price resort & date options before booking though. Just returned from our 1st visit a few days ago. Happy planning/booking!!

I always call....ask about any specials and state my building preference for POR.
