What is the best thing to do?

Hi - I want more points!!!!! We have two contracts. OKW w/ Aug. use year and VB w/ Dec use year. I want to buy before the price goes up again. My options:
1. Buy more VB points
2. Buy an OKW resale (seems impossible that the right amount of points and the right use year will actually come up).
Are there any other options? Can I "add on" at OKW? I thought I read Disney had some kind of wait list for the sold out resorts. What would my chances be of an add on coming in before the price increase? I assume add on's are at the Disney price ($72)?
Any opinions would be appreciated.

Hi, Lisa. I just posted a reply to somebody else who was asking about waiting lists for add-ons. You might look up that thread to read my comments.

You could always put your name on the waiting list for your use year month. If you're already a DVC member, you should get a letter notifying you before prices go up for points. If your name hasn't come up on the waiting list by then, you could go ahead and buy points at another resort or pursue a resale.

If you buy a resale at OKW, you don't have to have the same use year. It makes the point tracking a lot easier if you have the same one, but any contract can be resold, as I understand the deed and DVC documents.

Also, try talking to someone at one of the timeshare resale businesses. It appears that many smaller contracts never get posted on their web sites, as they just sell them to someone on their list of potential customers. Tell them what you are looking for and you might be surprised.

You could also do an add-on thru Disney at HH or VWL...
