What is the best thing about Sequoia lodge

We went on a week's holiday when DD was on 3 cartons a day. You get 15 in outer box which I asked the nice Tesco man to leave wrapped in its celophane and although this was heavy on the way there you were convieniently left with it's space (and the nappies space) on the way back for pressies - cool

I'd say being close to the parks. I've stayed both there and at Newport Bay Club and the walk was quicker from the Sequoia Lodge even though it is the cheaper of the two. Plus out of all the hotels, I think it has the best themeing apart from the Disneyland Hotel itself.

I partly agree with this. Yes the Sequoia Lodge is about as close to the village as you need to be, however, I don't believe it warrants the additional price tag.

We stayed in the SL on our first trip and it was nice, but to cut costs, we stayed int he Sante Fe the second trip and the Cheyenne on the third visit.

The standard of accomodation is really very similar across the entire resort and if you want to walk between hotel and parks, the Cheyenne and Sante Fe are only 10 minutes further away.
It is a nice walk along the canal so it flies by and think of the money you save on your accomodation..............after all, they hold you to ransom over the food and drink, so every little you can save is a bonus !

We go back in December for our 4th time. We have booked the Cheyenne, for precisely the reasons I have stated above.

Thank god she's into disney and not some of the stuff other 16 year olds are into.! Alot of peeps say she's immature for her age but all I can say is Lucky me!! I hope in years to come we are still enjoying Disney together like you.

Definitely Tia!!! Much better sweet and innocent than streetwise and stroppy !!!! Some of my daughter's workmates went to DLP and found it "naff" which made steam come out of her ears as you can imagine!!! You've got to be in touch with your inner child to really appreciate Disney!!! Go to Alton Towers otherwise!!!

I couldn't agree more. Also when we say we are going to Disney again, we get comments like "DISNEY !!! what again?" or "you're sad, go somewhere else!" I don't bother telling people anymore, that's why i'm really glad I found you lot! lol, you understand!!!!!!! Maybe I overdone it a bit last year, 4 visits!! It's never enough though!

My SIL, when we said we were going to Disney again said: "But what do you do there?" as if there's not enough to fill a day - they went to WDW once and when they went back to Florida the next year they went to Seaworld but not once to Disney even though they had a little boy. Also a friend recently said to me: "Do you go on the rides?" with an incredulous look on her face!!! How can people just not get Disney????????????????????? I suppose it's understandable if you've never been but once you've walked up Main Street how can you not want to go back again and again and again and .................................
I agree Tia - I'm so glad I found this board so we can go on and on about our beloved Disney without boring the pants off people who just don't get the magic!!!

I totally agree I only know two people (in real life ) who I can talk to endlessly about Disney - everyone else glazes over, or just looks at me in a slightly pitying way!! But to be honest, I feel a bit sorry for them - they just don't know what they are missing!!

Apart from Diane and the troops I don't know anyone in real life that thinks about Disney as much as me.
Grandparents both loved seening DLP two years ago with us and would love for all the grand children to go for a big Disney family holiday, but definitely are not Disney addicts
