We are staying at Saratoga Springs, if that matters, and was wondering what the fastest route from the airport to there would be. We would be arriving at 7:30 pm wednesday, again if that matters.

thanks in advance.

I heard that there was a new section to SR-528 that took you right into Disney - has anything heard or can confirm that?

We prefer the South exit from the airport and Rte 417 (the Greenway) to exit 6 which puts you on the road that brings you into Epcot. Once you pass under the Disney welcome sign, take the 3rd exit, go straight across at the lights, and the SSR entrance is about 3/4th of a mile down on your right.

There are two $1 tolls (manned) on this route, and no traffic.

I don't think so. I drove 528 last week and it ended at I-4, had to take the west lane onto I-4 and exited at Downtown Disney. I usually take the south exit to 417 but I missed the turn and ended up going north out of the airport. Since it was a Saturday afternoon, didn't make much difference traffic wise.

528 will not take you straight in to Disney, although I agree that it will be the quicker way to go that time of day on a Saturday. It will dump you on I-4, which you will take WESTBOUND and then follow the signs to Disney.

Personally I think 417 is much better than 528 and I-4. If you enjoy traffic then take the Beachline. If you want the stress free way take the 417.

Yeah, what she said :)

I never used to like 417, feeling more comfortable with the familiar 528-to-4 route. Then I took Magical Express, and they use 417. Then I used DME to get back to the airport to pick up a car, and followed 'my' driver's directions back to Disney. And the next week, I drove back to the airport. I LOVE 417!

The best route would be to make a ME reservation and let Disney do the driving. JMO

We always take the S 417. No traffic & easy. Just follow the Disney ME buses.

This may sound funny, but everytime we have gone we never use a map. We just follow the ME or Disney Cruise Buses and they go straight to DIsney. Once we get to the area, we vear off and go our separate way.

Talk about cheating :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

Does anybody choose their route based on whether they are picking up the rental car on the A side or the B side? Just wondering since the A side exits toward the north and the B side exits toward the south. -- Suzanne

If you are coming from side A, the South exit is definitely more convoluted, though the airport signs will get you to the South and 417. We still take 417. It is just a much more relaxing drive.

agree I have done both 528 & 417 and this is the best IMHO
